The hotel was the only hotel we saw on the long road round this man made lake; it can best be described as rustic, but charming. Check-in was non existent, the receptionist simply ticked us off her sheet. She showed us to our room and explained the way things work here. The room was basic, and fine for a night. But don’t expect Wi-fi to work well, there's no air con, a fridge or stuff like that. The walls are paper thin. Dinner was taken on the veranda, with its panoramic view. This is the motel’s crowning glory...apparently there is no better view of the lake. By rights you should pay a kings ransom for this vista, but you chose a €20 or €30 3 course dinner. I had fish for starters and mains, it was nothing fancy, rather ordinary really, but it was fine. Prices are reasonable for the location, there aren’t many accommodation choices in the area, but this place is quirky and worth a visit.

Room was clean and staffs were nice. Our room with balcony face Lac de Sainte-Croix which is very beautiful and comfortable. We stayed 3 nights and having our dinner there, its a great place to eating delicious food and enjoying the beautiful lake view. The first night we came back very late and the restaurant was stopped receiving order, when the lady found we're clients of the hotel, she kindly offering us meal (with limited choice because ingredients runs out). We thanks for it and felt warm of the caring. Car parks were always full at evening because of people drove here having there dinner (hotel clients have their parking space at the rare of hotel which near the swimming pool). We recommend to choose rooms with balcony not only for the great view but the room temperature is lower in summer.

The views were truly amazing and it’s close to St. Croix lac, verdon gorge and all it’s amieties. They hotel itself is rustic, it was clean, bathroom was fine. Dinner was nice. The pool and the pool area though were dirty and it was v cold. I didn’t let the kids in, not that they actually wanted to go and it’s there favourite thing. Reasonably priced for the area. Generally ok really, with (did I mention) amazing views!!

Beautiful view and terrace on the lake. The room for 2 was ok but the room for 3 was horrible. Trash outside the window which smelled, impossible to open the window during the night. When we told it to the guy at the reception, the answer was “I can t do anything”. I suggest to pay more attention to cleaning service. We didn’t try the restaurant.

You check in and they never ask you to pay upfront which I found strange but they said it's ok. Very trusting I guess. As soon as we checked in we never saw staff again, whether we needed towels or anything. The restaurant attached to the hotel closes at 10pm and after that you have to go in the back and there is no one around if you need anything. Reception and the nice couches in the reception area are closed off to you after 10 and it's the only place WiFi reaches. So I had to look up our itinerary for the next day and confirm bookings and I couldn't get wifi in our room, which was right next to reception but the door to reception was locked. I went to this couch in the back of the hallway of the hotel and had to use international data which barely worked. When we woke in the morning the guy running breakfast was there and kept shutting the door the breakfast area as we packed up the car at 7am. Because technically they were closed until 8am. We were later for getting to Castellane for a booking and at 7:30am the guy running the restaurant said no one will arrive until 8am and sorry we should have paid sooner...even though they insisted we shouldn't pay ahead of time. Overall, wold not recommend this place as the staff were never even there. We didn't eat at the restauarant so can't attest to the food. The rooms were tiny for 4 people, at least ours was, and the staff were overall not helpful.
