We (4 of us) stayed in a 2-bedroom cottage for 2 nights in October 2016. We were greeted by two friendly dogs and they practically played with us our entire stay at this guesthouse. The staff here weren't too friendly (but not rude at all...More
The stay here was a highlight of the trip. We were greeted by two friendly dogs. The receptionist offered discounted tickets for the Nature Baths in town. The cabin was great for three people. A delicious breakfast was served in the morning. I would definitely...More
Stayed in cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of parking right outside your door. Comfy double bunk bed. Good heater to stay warm. Saw the northern lights as relatively low light pollution. Near to many sights and next to the lake with great views across.
Nice cozy cottages with cooking facilities. The shower and toilet area is a bit small. Lucky there's only 2 of us in each cottage. Thus for family with children I suggest getting a bigger cottage or room. They do have rooms at the main building....More

I am travelling from Egilsstadir on 16 April to Dimmunborigr Guesthouse and then on to Akureyri on 18 April but there is no public bus running on either day.
An airport shuttle has shown on other sites about this hotel, does anyone know if the shuttles goes to and from Egilsstadir and Akureyri airports as this seems the only way for me to get to and from Dimmuborgir?
