Stayed for 3 nights during the Hike and Bike 4 day north side tour, awesome place! It was winter and there was snow everywhere but the tractor clears the snow daily so we can walk safely. Stayed at the cabin guesthouses which were a walking distance away from the main house. The main house is where breakfast ( buffet breakfast... More

My bf and I stayed here mid November, 2016. We got stuck in a snow storm in egilsstadir on the night we booked accomodations at the place and they were so kind as to let us move our reservation to the next night free of charge. They upgraded us to the family room which had 2 twin beds and one... More

we had initially booked two standard modern rooms but by some stroke of luck was upgraded to their cabin rooms. the cabin rooms were lovely - cozy, spacious and clean. my only gripe was that the heater in the room was pretty slow to heat up the entire cabin and so we were pretty cold for the most part. the... These rustic cabin style rooms are situated in a perfect location if you are touring around Lake Myvatn. They were very clean, the bed was comfortable and our room was spacious. There was no television, which was not a problem for us. The Wi-fi worked well. It was great to be able to step right outside to check for any... More

We booked the room for ca 130eur and first I thought its expensive but then we saw a wonderful breakfast buffet is included. Really rich buffet with local and home made specialities and given the food prices in Iceland take a large breakfast and you really het a great value for your money! The rooms are accross the street of... More

We stayed at this guesthouse for two nights in early October 2016 Pros: Check-in at the Cowshed restaurant was very easy. It was fun to be able to watch the cows being milked. The actual guesthouses are across the road. We were placed in a large end unit that had 4 twin beds, though there were only two of us.... More

Simple, rustic & peaceful. Dinner was our least favorite dinning experience on our ten day vacation. Although the fresh milk from the milking cows that morning was so good. We were excited to see the Northern Lights that evening. Very special to see it from outside our room.

Amazing Guesthouse. The room is spacious and clean. There is no TV, but hack, you no need it. The rooms is cozy and romantic. Bathroom has good showers. Breakfast is an amazing experience. You can see milking of cows. Twice a day; morning and evening. Make sure you don't miss it.

Pros: The restaurant - breakfast was the best we had during a 2 week trip around Iceland and we also ate dinner there both nights as it was so enjoyable. Lamb shank, hamburger and homemade chocolate pecan cake were highlights! Very friendly service. Cons: The guesthouse - the room was comfortable, clean and spacious but as others have commented, you... More

We stayed in Vogafjos Guesthouse for 3 nights. The room is big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great. The bad things are poor wifi, it is slow and not stable. Poor mobile network signal for internet (Siminn network). Thin walls can easily hear the voice form next door.
