The hotel is near the lake with good view, the foods are very delicious and all the staffs are polite and helpful. My bags has missed since the first day I arrived Iceland, British Airways tried tofind and sent it to me. I finally get very welcome from the hotel by give me that missing bag as soon as I...

This is a well maintained, clean, quiet hotel offering friendly service with plenty of car parking and a good choice of buffet breakfast. There are two restaurants; the hotel restaurant has limited choice but a nice atmosphere. For a more laid back experience try their other restaurant across the car park, which has a more varied choice. The location was...

I had a fabulous time at this hotel. Paul, one of the staff members treated my like family. I enjoyed listening to the staff tell stories about what life was like when her great grandfather first came to Iceland. Be sure to get a room overlooking lake Myvatn.

Reception and check in was a breeze. We had a wonderful room which was larger than most we've stayed in our Icelandic travels, the king/twin bed was...

We got in late and they reopend the kitchen so we could have some dinner. They let us stay past checkout in the...

Some of the decor may seem dated, but note the core building is 70 years old. Get past that and there is a lot to like at this hotel. There is attention to detail at every turn. Helpful staff. Hot chocolate and herbal teas in the rooms. A better class of linen, fluffy towels, good pillows and even face towels,...

The hotel is easy to find, it's on the main road (Highway 1 of the Ring Road). Parking is easy, there is a bar and restaurant across the parking lot. The lobby bar is open all night long, and the breakfast was good. Its only a few minutes drive to the Myvatn Nature Baths and the Volcano near by. A...

Decent hotel with a nice atmosphere and clean rooms. The best thing about this place were the delicious local ingredients at breakfast. And the wonderful woman serving them. I would definitely recommend staying here.
