Comfortable room in hostel block with small but cosy shared lounge and kitchenette area next to the rooms. Shared bathrooms were clean, the Ladies being more spacious than the Mens! Breakfast was served in the main house and was excellent with a lot of home-made items including pancakes. Lovely view overlooking the sea and mountains.

Stayed at Berunes hostel for 3 nights and it was very enjoyable stay. The owner was a warm and gentle old man who had owned it since 1967. He stil makes your panncake for breakfast and serves you beer and food in the evening. I can recommend a stay at this place. We lived in a little apartment with kitchenette,...

We spent a night in this old and quiet farmhouse . The room was simple with only a bed and no closet. The common bathroom was simple too with limited hot water in the shower. The breakfast was OK (typical icelandic breakfast). It is a nice location for trekkers and on the way to the West.

We stayed one night in one of the small cottage there (G) with very good bed, sink , wc and shower. It was very nice and good air in the cottage, that is important for me. The surrounding is very beautiful, the fjord and Bulandstindur, really million dollar view. I hope I will be abel to stay there again.

Very classic with original housing from years ago. All in original style and traditional. I like being here and see how people lived in the old days. We had a great breakfast with pancakes and fresh bread. Also fresh meat, cheese, tomatoes and cucumber. The view is magnificent.

Our small cottage "C" with 4 beds is too small for 4 adults with big luggages. The owner may knew it so kindly offered us to use a vacant dorm room too, but we finally managed to arrange our luggages and stayed together in the small but lovely and clean cottage. Also, the bathroom has no curtain for shower which...

On the day we arrived to the area, it was quite rainy and foggy. I could tell that if the weather had been clearer, there would have been beautiful views of the seaside and the surrounding mountains and hills, unfortunately due to the weather there was mostly fog and misty rain. Luckily the wifi worked well in building D so...

The hostel is all local and eco. Not posh, no loud music, but for the guest who seeks peace and a personal treatment as an interested traveller. We could chose our rooms as there was still a lot of space before high season. Late arrival was ok. Great place.

This is basically a hostel, I would not stay here unless you are really craving a nostalgic experience. The "cottage" we rented was a disgusting dorm room with 4 little beds in it and a shower head sticking out of the wall in the bathroom. It was like an abandoned summer camp, and right outside of our window was a...
