I stayed two nights at the Frumskógar Guesthouse located close to the Ring Road (Route 1) that encircles Iceland. My first impression of the place was homey, comfortable and accommodating. I was assiged an upstairs single room that had a double bed, a reading lamp overlooking the bed, a black wooden desk with two matching chairs, a small sink with...

This was a great place we stayed 3 nights June 2015. We did not add the breakfast option, which was not necessary as the apartment has a full kitchen and a cute eating table. There is a nearby grocery store (Bonus) and liquor store (next the visitor's center, inside the strip mall, hard to know its there, only place to...

We stayed 1 night in an apartment and it was really, really nice! Great space, plenty big, comfy bed, good kitchen. The hot tub and sauna are perfect. Breakfast is the standard Icelandic continental array of cereal, meats, cheeses, yogurt, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. Great stop on our way heading towards the Blue Lagoon before we flew home. The woman that...

We stayed here for four nights and it was a perfect base for our group. The hotel is clean and simple with a lovely hot tub at the end of a long day In the cold! We ate simple home cooked food which was delicious. The owners are friendly and keen to give good service. I would really recommend this...

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a small group. We were in comfortable apartments/chalets with bedroom, shower room, sitting area andz kitchen. They were very comfortable and very warm (a bit too warm for me but adjustable). The food was very good quality and well cooked. The family who run this Guest House were friendly and welcoming and...

Hveragerdi is NOT to be missed! Hot springs galore & wonderful food in town. Guesthouse owners in this family run B&B were very accommodating. We arrived very early in the morning after a red-eye from Alaska and they welcomed us with a warm bed! Breakfast was the best we had in Iceland (we are vegetarian). We enjoyed walking around town and...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our brief stopover in Iceland. We arrived from the U.S. on an early morning flight and decided to head to the guesthouse to see if the owner could help us with our sightseeing plans until check in at 3pm. She informed us our apartment was ready and let us have...

I really enjoyed staying here. It was so clean and the owner was very friendly. She is also an AMAZNG cook! She has a sit down area where you can hangout and eat. For a small cost, she will cook a whole two course meal for you. She cooks a ton of food and puts it out for you so...

Frumskógar guesthouse was one of my favorite stops in Iceland. It's in a beautiful little town with gardens, hot springs and a hot river. We stayed in two rooms above the main house the first night, and an apartment unit the second. The rooms were nice; the apartment being the highlight. I was throwing together my own cold food for...

What a fabulous find! The guesthouse was immaculate, cozy and peaceful. Although there was very fast WIFI, we spent most of our time relaxing in the large outdoor hot tub and sauna!
