Nice rooms and friendly service. Was very surprised that there was a hairdryer in the room which was phenomenal!!! The showers however are not covered well meaning the water goes everywhere. Just prepare yourself.

An amazing place. It is set back a few hundred meters from Road 1 at the base of a cliff and looks nondescript but the building and rooms are clean and perfectly appointed. Dinner was amazing and dessert was incredible.

We were supposed to stay at Hotel Geirland overnight for an ice cave tour. The day before our tour, the entire country had extreme weather warnings and every tour was canceled. I called and explained this to the hotel and asked if we could get a refund. I told them I understood the cancellation policy but was hoping we could...

2nd night of our Icelandic tour, lovely location, excellent base for our excursions, including Northern Nights. Limited on where to eat as out in the sticks but the food served there was acceptable. Meat dishes served a little rare for me, but enjoyed the fish n chips. Breakfasts was plentiful with good variety too.

Booked by our tour company and is confidently located close to the main road. Rooms are storage box style with all the basics which would have been fine except for the following: The hot water lasted 4mins max, no exaggeration. I had to rinse off in cold water which is not great during winter. The door to the bathroom doesn't...

Only stayed one night as we were racing around the island but this is a great location and a nice hotel. Having stayed at a few guesthouses around the island, this place felt less cosy and is almost motel-ish and very popular - all of which can be attributed to its proximity to Route 1. But these are good things...

We stayed in a cabin which was lovely. Very warm and cosy. There's no TV in the cabin room but there are TVs in rooms which are in the main building. There is also a communal area with a TV in the main building where guests can watch TV. Staff were friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful location. Great for long walks...

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights on our self drive tour and found it to be really good. The location was stunning and the hotel was nice, clean with a decent sized room for the 3 of us. We found it to be a good location for exploring further East towards the Jokulsarlon Lagoon and Svinafellsjokull...

We stayed for an overnight. Staff was friendly and room was clean & comfortable. We did have dinner - recommend the chicken pasta and lamb! Reasonably priced. Breakfast in the morning had a decent continental selection. Good location for site seeing.
