Stayed here for one night as part of our Honeymoon. The staff were absolutely sensational. Once they found out it was our honeymoon they organised a special surprise for us, which was very generous but very much appreciated. We ate dinner and breakfast - both were to a very high standard. The hotel offers an "opt in" wake up call...

This hotel is pretty basic, but in a good location for traveling to Skaftafell and the glacier lagoon. We also saw the Northern Lights while we stayed here... so incredible!! They will send you a courtesy call if the Northern Lights are spotted. My only recommendation would be to update the bathrooms.. the shower is tiny!

We stopped for one night on a tour around Iceland. The reception staff was very nice and friendly, we got a good size room with all amenities and free wifi. The restaurant served full menu with limited but good choices. Staff was friendly and fairly professional at dinner. Breakfast was the low point of the experience, both selection and service....

The dinner is so frightingly expensive, and at the same time so terribly bad. Soup of the day was Ok, but the burger was just bad. And the potato wedges had clearly been frozen and heated up again too many times. Overall an Ok hotel. They seem to be freshing up some parts of the hotel and that looks nice....

After travelling all day, this modern, clean hotel was a wonderful stop for the night. small shower, but bit worked well. Enough room to dry all our wet clothing from the incessant rains of the day. Nice, but expensive restaurant, as are most restaurants in Iceland. Very helpful staff - we had a flat tire and the desk clerk called...

Great room, nice restaurant, accommodating staff. We spent two nights and had comfortable nights. The first night, my wife turned up the radiator to dry out here soaked clothes from our rainy glacier hike, and forgot to turn it back down, so she was complaining of hot flashes the next morning. We turned down the heat and the next night...

We stayed two nights at this hotel which was clean and bright. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was good in the restaurant. We went out to see the Northern Lights which we saw on our return they gave us hot chocolate. They also furnished us with blankets and torches which you give back. The manager gave us a presentation...

We stayed at this hotel during a self-drive tour of Iceland. It is based in an unremarkable place but is more than adequate for an overnighter. There is a bar and restaurant. Breakfast was very good. Very friendly helpful staff.

The room is clean and comfortable. Shower is small but worked fine. The restaurant has a good variety of options and there is a bar available. They even offered a wake up call if Northern Lights were spotted.

If you need a place to stay, in the middle of Southeast Iceland, this is your place. It's a hotel with modern amenities that's a great way to break up your trip cross-country. Icelandair has a series of hotels across the country – I'd assume that Klaustur is one of the less-traveled hotels, but it was wonderfully cozy. The staff...
