Absolutely great meal - totally unexpected in this remote area, Michelin star quality with surprising tastes. Highly recommended and worth the detour if your are in Iceland. Not cheap but nothing is in Iceland.

Hotel was much nicer than I expected. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Yon who works the night shift was very accommodative to our needs. Hotel like most in the region provides North Lights wake up calls. We were able to see the lights on our last night in the region. The rooms are a good size with modern amenities....

This hotel is situated in a really small town which serves the tourists here en route to other parts of Iceland. There's only another restaurant here and a small supermarket which closes at 6pm in winter. If anyone needs any groceries it would be best to get it early rather than wait until later. Staff are really friendly and give...

I had dinner twice, and the food was exceptional, excellent, and high quality better than many restaurants in europe. The hotel's staff is amazing, and actually was the best service i received in all my hotel stays in...

We arrived late and were immediately welcomed. We sat down for a 6 course decadent meal of a fresh fish appetizer delicious reindeer soup, duck, creme d' almond and chocolate cake. The service was impeccable and the chef is a genius. When I travel I make a point of going to the best restaurants for an experience and I can...

We spent a night there on our way back from the Glacier lagoon. Check-in was efficient. The only problem was that the rooms are on the first floor and there is no elevator, so you have to haul your bags. The staff offered to wake us up if the Northern Lights were visible - didn't happen. The hotel has a...

We stayed two nights as part of an Icelandair tour. The rooms were very basic but comfortable. The breakfast supplied was very good. The evening meal supplied as part of our tour was fresh fish one night and lamb the next night. Both were excellent. Would recommend a stop here on any tour.

We stayed here as part of an organised tour and were very well welcomed. The Manager of the hotel gave us a wonderful presentation of the area, its geography and the history of the area. The food was delicious and the hotel was a flexible as possible concerning eatting preferences of our small group.
