This quiet and quaint guesthouse was a pleasure to stay during our route 1 road trip. Rooms are clean and showers are hot and powerful. The breakfast in fantastic with plenty of fresh coffee and a selection of fresh food. The owners are friendly and interested in how your holiday is going, with useful tips and a map given to...

My wife and I stayed at Lambastadir Guesthouse for a couple of nights in late December 2016 after driving the golden circle on our way through to Vik. Arriving at night (note it's a little tricky to see the entrance in the dark), the owners simply left the key out for us at reception and we got to meet them...

We stayed at Lambastadir guesthouse after we completed our golden circle tour. The location is convenient. Owner was very warm and friendly. The farmhouse has sheep and chicken and horses. It is a good opportunity to see farm animals up close.

We stayed at Lambastadir after my brother stayed a year before. He raved about the place and he was not wrong. The rooms are lovely, all self contained as well which was not the case in most other guesthouses we stayed in. The communal area was lovely and cosy as well, and we sat around here in the evening to...

This is one nice little guesthouse with a warm/friendly owner and his wife, always with a smile. He is nice person to chat to and even able to give us some tips about Northern light. :) On the night we came in and in need of hot water, the owner nicely help us to fill up kettle and even allow...

My husband and I stayed here for a couple nights in October. It has about 10-11 guestrooms, which are decorated tastefully. We couldn't get over how quiet it was while we stayed here. We believe that every guest room was occupied, but the rooms must be sound proof because we couldn't hear a peep. Our favorite thing about the guesthouse...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights during a trip around Iceland. We had a pretty good stay here. The positives: the gusethouse is a few km out of Selfoss and has a nice balance between being very peaceful and quiet and feeling like it's in he 'middle of nowhere' and being located 10 minutes from a town...

We stayed only for one night and I am really happy about it. The couple who owns the guesthouse is friendly and the breakfast was good but the rooms have no heating that you can control and are therefore pretty cold. Furthermore the ventilation system In the bathroom is so loud and can not be turned off so that sleeping...

Stayed here on our Honeymoon for 3 nights and so glad we did. A quiet and relaxing place that you can walk around and visit the wandering farm animals (SO MANY ADORABLE SHEEP!). Close to Selfoss if you need food or gas- but beware places close very early in the country. Best coffee we had on our trip- I should...

This small guesthouse is located in the outskirts of Selfoss directly off the main road, down a dirt track as typical with Icelandic roads. We stayed one night. We arrived late after a delayed flight, nonetheless the key for the room was waiting at reception with our name on and contained all the important information we needed. The room was...
