Our room was small and cramped with dated furniture that had a musty cast to it. It appears we received the smallest room in the house. We spent three nights and the bed was uncomfortable at best. The first day, there were not adequate nor very good towels but this was rectified over the next two. The food was great...

My family had 12 people, 3 toddlers and a baby. We stayed two nights and were very happy with this B&B. Patsy is wonderful- extremely friendly and driven to keep you comfortable. The breakfast is delicious, and the house is gorgeous. The beds are comfortable, and each room has its own bathroom! There is free WORKING wifi, and plenty of...

Patsy was the perfect host - lovely house and grounds, warm welcome and wonderful breakfasts. Our room was very comfortable, quiet and well equipped, with an en suite bathroom and comfortable seating.

The reception I had during my booking assured me of my safety in the BB. On arrival, I had a warm welcome which really felt like I had visited a friend instead of BB. This really was more I expected. The room I was ushered to was also warm and beautiful. I would stay in this BB anytime I visit...

My husband and I traveled to Ireland to pursue some family history and chose Longford as our place to start. After reading Trip Advisor Reviews we opted to stay at Longford Country House run by Patricia and Peter. What a splendid Irish welcome we had! Their charming home tucked into the woods a short drive from town felt like a...

We arrived as a storm was coming in and the welcome couldn't have been warmer. Tea was served in the rather Baronial drawing room which is a fine feature of the House. This meant that, unlike many other B&Bs, we were not confined to our rooms during the afternoon but had space to spread out and relax. The bed was...

We stayed at Longford Country House for two nights while researching my wife's geneaology in County Longford. After spending a full day in Galway/Aran Islands, we arrived very late, after 10 pm in the town of Longford. After a couple of calls to Patricia to get directions (and an offer for her to come pick us up), we finally found...

We stayed at Longford Country House in September 2013 and have been remiss writing a review. We did have a bit of difficulty finding it at first but it was certainly worth searching for. Patricia was very warm and welcoming with a pot of tea and biscuits in the lounge right away. Nice conversation and advice for dinner too which...
