We stayed here for a weekend and I have to say we were very disappointed. There wasn't even a hello from the receptionist when we arrived. The hotel is very shabby, the beds uncomfortable and our room was freezing. The windows were locked but slightly open onto a busy side street we didn't sleep at all with the traffic noise!...

Definitely will never stay here again - arrived to check in - girl on the reception desk could have been no more bothered about welcoming us to the hotel than the man in the moon. (no welcome to the hotel, advised of any hotel amenities, times of breakfast/dinners etc) Arrived to find a decent sized room however had requested a...

One night here was enough. In the area to attend family event. This is an old property and it shows in innumerable ways. Clerk said they were in the process of renovating rooms, but luck was not with us. Our room looked like something out of 1980's East Germany; everything was old, crappy and dysfunctional. BTW, WiFi doesn't work 5m...

This was my 1st visit to The Longford Arms. I was was expecting old and worn out but how wrong I was. Lovely fresh hotel with friendly staff and right in the middle of the town. Rooms very spacious and clean.

In desperate need of total refurbishment. No WiFi or Internet in rooms. Manager an ignoramus imbecile. Rest of staff OK but they suffer under her reign. Screaming children everywhere all the time. Overall to be avoided until refurbishment happens.

We stopped for dinner on route from Donegal to Dublin on Sunday. This hotel badly needs money spent on it as it's very sad and tired throughout. Food was ok nothing special very bland many options on the carvery menu were already finished at 3pm so very little joint choice. Not expensive but would not rush to go back. Bar...

Really dirty and run down hotel. Rooms battered and filthy carpets. Woken at 5am by awful noise from heating system that was so loud had to get night porter. He had to work on system for about 45 mins, with three visits to room. Only was for him to resolve was to switch off heating system for entire hotel. This...

Terrible stay for many reasons! 1. Didn't have my booking when we arrived 2. Gave me the key to someone else's room and we walked in on them 3. No hot water 4. Very rude night porter 5. Extremely rude receptionists in particular a male member of staff. Overall a terrible stay never again!

Appalling hotel, worst experience in recent memory. Booked in for the New Years weekend, left after the first night! Our original room was in a poor condition and had no working hot water, staff moved us to another room which was in a disgusting and dilapidated state, we complained and were moved to another room (third time) which again was...
