Nice room, different sizes and layout. Exceptional breakfast - no other words for it. And ambience like you were a friend, more than a paying guest. You can go there in utter confidence - I will return!

We stayed here for 3 nights to attend a family wedding close by. The owners were reasonably hospitable and the breakfast was excellent. However, the house is crammed with tat and there was a musty dusty smell everywhere. Our room was a twin at the front, with a sink only. There was no TV, no en-suite, no hairdryer, no tea/coffee... We were told on the phone that this place was dog friendly - on arrival, our dog couldn't have been made less welcome. We were put into a strange room downstairs to the main entrance, and told in no uncertain terms that the dog had to sleep in the bathroom ! In the evening , a fire had been made,... More

We stayed here for one night prior to returing to Dublin for the trip home. The upstairs room overlooking the river was nice and Michael provided us with a good recomendation for dinner in town. The breakfast we had the next morning was excellent. My wife and I both had a freshly made feta cheese omlet. This was accomopanied by... More

We stayed with Michael and Shelia for two nights. The furnishings were opulent, the service was first class and the sleep was restful. Parking was a little strained but easily rectified. When in Navan drop in and stay a night or two. Bookings are essential and rooms on the ground floor are preferred

The owner was quite clearly distracted by a problem with the TV in the Guest sitting room when we arrived so we didn't feel we had his full attention. We were told we could have a choice of room but he only showed us the one. This was a bit cramped for three and it was in the basement. where... More

Overall this place was fit for purpose but just about, it allowed me to stay close to the place I needed to attend. I found the host Michael a tad rude with regards to asking for money upfront. I am also aware someone was in my room while I was out enjoying myself (shame on me eh!) but nothing was... More

I find it hard to understand how the Killyon Guesthouse has been awarded 4 diamonds by the AA and has also been recommended in the Michelin Guide. My daughter and myself stayed there in August and we found it to be cheerless and fusty and festooned with every manner of objet d'art. Ornaments filled every available space and surface so... More

Stayed in June as we were attending a wedding at a hotel close to the very pretty looking Band B with lovely hanging baskets and flowers. It also had four star rating signs. We had booked a double room.......The room was so small you had to move the bed to open the wardrobe. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows... More

We walked in a Victorian home. Well decorated and full of flowers. Bird feeders out and around the house were bringing all kind of birds. The rooms were full of light and very clean. We were offered coffee or tea and cake late afternoon. Thank you Michael and Sheila!
