We stayed four nights in May and had a wonderful time even though we didn't have a car. If you're traveling by bus, you can be dropped off and picked up at the Slane "Castle" which is about a 10 minute walk down the road. We got along just fine and took the bus into Trim, which has just enough...

Slane farm was the Ideal location for this fairy themed hen of 30 women of all ages. I searched all over Ireland to find this gem. When I visited the site I knew it was the most perfect location! The staff were lovely and incredably helpful from start to finish and answered every request with enthusiasm. We were left to...

Just spent a night at The Slane Farm Hostel along with 20 + members of a Stag party and what a great experience we had.The open space of the farm allowed us to put up a large marque with a full PA system and band, and we played until 4 in the morning without the worry of upsetting anyone apart...

We have just spent 6 days staying in the cottage with the "orange door". Everything you need is provided within the cottage down to Teabags and sugar! My 3 children played on their bikes, visited the donkey and the hens, attempted tree house making in the woods! We went for walks into Slane village for a drink in the beer...

The room was fine for the price, the kitchen had everything to make a meal (although no dishsoap to wash dishes with for two days), and the location was great for exploring Meath and Louth Counties, but they were having serious staffing problems during the days we were there. When we arrived, we were greeted after about ten minutes by...

Thank you for taking the time to leavfe a review for us. Yes you are right we were on top of our eyes the weekend you arrived with us. The cows just finished calving and it was all hands on deck on the farm to get everything in order. Then in the hostel and cottages we have been over whelmed...

I stayed at the cottages for several days and had the most delightful time. Felt like I walked into a home away from home as soon as I arrived. Very close to town, can have some pints at Boyles and then stroll home, even closer to the castle. Love it, will be back!

This place was heaven on earth. Clean, professional, environmentally conscious, tucked away in the Irish countryside with plenty of places to walk and take in the Irish way of life. Plus it's only a 20 minute walk into the village of Slane for a pint or two. I would recommend this to anyone, and plan on returning again and again.
