Perfect for what we needed, clean, safe and very friendly staff. We forgot to bring towels and they provided them for us no problem. Our group had 3 rooms and no complaints. Lovely location with bars right across the road. The area had a great relaxed atmosphere and we wanted to stay longer

Stayed for one night in the Strandhill hostel. Booked online and paid approx 20€ a night per person. We had a private room towards the back. The room was small but spotlessly clean. Minimal furnishings but everything you would expect to find, enough sockets, bin, stool, plenty of hooks. Beds were comfortable and the linen was fresh. When we checked...

A group of 13 of us stayed here last weekend and we had a great time. There was some confusion with our booking but the guys were more than accommodating and pleasant to deal with. The rooms/dorms were spotless when we checked in. There is a real homely feel about the place and we were very impressed by the overall...

We had a great stay here, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. They recommend a nice place to eat, drink and massage the bed was comfortable but I think they were kids bunks as they were really low so you couldn't sit up in bed which made for a few drunken head bumps lol laid back environment

I liked the room and the bathrooms but it was awfully cold in the hostel...no heating at all. We didn't have breakfast although it was supposed to be included in the price. The location is good and the receptionist who showed us the room was helpful. However, the lack of breakfast in the morning was annoying.

Friendly owners, cheap and cheerful. It is very much geared towards summer tourists and there wasn't much to do in December. A good place to stay for a night or two but not for a longer stay. Breakfast is toast and cereal and instant coffee/tea. More suited for backpackers than older visitors.

The stay could have been overall nice, but there were a few negative points. The birds were confortable, and the small room was cozy and warm. But the bathroom was ridiculously small, and you almost had to open the door to go from the toilet to the shower. The bathroom was in need of a good cleaning/renovation. The continental breakfast...

We stayed in the B&B that was part of the hostel and surf school. The room was wonderful and the people running the place were amazing. We took surf lessons from Eddie and he was brilliant, if we didn't have a reservation in Galway for later that night I would have loved to stay in Strandhill and explore more of...

We are too old to surf, but enjoyed talking with the students. Was close in to visit all of the sights we wanted to visit in the area. Good room, wifi, and breakfast. Good restaurants in the area and the surf can be dramatic. I recommend heartily.

Amazing atmosphere. The staff was great, the breakfast was simple but good and the price was fair. Facilities were simple but clean and comfortable. The beach is beautiful and the location is great. It would be a pleasure stay in this hostel again.
