Great Spot, Great Location, and Great Service We had a blast in Mullingar for my hen party last weekend, made even better because of the accommodation! All the hens stayed together in mullingar b&b.Myself and my bridesmaids had a room which comfortably slept 5.The beds were very comfortable and the place was spotless.Showers were really powerful. Free wifi was great. The owner was very helpful and couldnt do enough for us providing us with an a few essentials that we forgot....
i would highly recommend this b&b for any hen party you will not be disapointed :)

We were six ladies completing the Greenway cycle from Athlone to Mullingar and back over two days.
We reached out to the owners to enquire if we could leave our bags on the way to Athlone, it was enroute. - No problem at all. When we arrived around 11am they were even able to give us our rooms immediately.
We arrived very wet on the Saturday evening and were welcomed once again. We were then shown a place to put our wet clothes - unbelievable service.
The rooms were basic but very clean. Nice white bed linen. Lots of hot water.
There were tea making facilities in the rooms.
We were in a triple room no.2.
Breakfast was more of a continental fair, cereals and tea/ coffee and toast. More than adequate for us we were heading cycling again.
The B&B again allowed us to leave our bags and collect them on the way home. Fabulous service where nothing seemed too much trouble!!
There is also Wifi

I stayed here for four nights as I was working in this part of the country. Very central location less than 5mins walk to main street. Basic bedrooms, comfortable and warm, hygiene standards are very good. Management could not be more helpful friendly and courteous. If you need any extras in your room just ask, they are more than happy to accomodate you. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in, in a long time. Top of the range orthopedic mattresses! Don't be put off by the cheap rates, would definitely book in again if I'm in the area again!

I've stayed here a couple of times, and would have rated it highly. The beds are super comfortable, the rooms are clean and a nice size. I've had really great breakfasts here in the past, and was really looking forward to it at my most recent stay, however there was none! There was a "continental" breakfast. It consisted of a loaf of bread we could toast, and some cereal! We were so disappointed! I actually don't think I'm going to stay here again. I felt really cheated as there wasnt a standard breakfast! The room was the same price as usual, but we got far less service!

The room was bare and carpet stained. No wardrobe or any rail to hang clothes. Breakfast was the cheapest ingredients possible. Instant coffee and sliced bread. Would never stay again. More like a cheap hostel than a bed and breakfast.

Cold room, no wardrobes, no dressing table, even no cold water in tap !!!!!!
Help yourself cold breakfast with no waitress in attendance.
Many other b&b,s in town which I was told later are much better.

3kevmac I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. Our heating is on 24/7 to ensure the rooms are always warm, at times some guests turn off the radiators so maybe that was the case? On very cold nights we can provide additional heaters in the rooms. It is unfortunate you did not make us aware of this issue as we could have resolved it. All our rooms have either wardrobes or hanging facilities and a dressing table under the mirror or a freestanding desk. I apologise for the cold water, again unfortunately we weren't aware wasn't working. With buildings as big as ours, there are always maintenance issues which we try our best to resolve as quickly as possible. Our staff begin work between 7.00-7.30 Tue to Sat and 8.30-9.00 on Sun and Mon so there is always someone available for assistance. On making our reservation you would have been informed that our rooms include Continental breakfast and a hot breakfast is available Tue- Sat.

we stayed here for one night and it was definitely not good. well, the room size was ok, tv and a little fridge available. but the heating was on max when we arrived and it wasn't possible to turn it down. the curtains were dusty and surely haven't been washed for months. the bathroom was very old and the cold tap at the sink did not work AT ALL! the hose in the shower was made from plastics and you had to hold it the right way or it would bend and let no water come through. breakfast was continental, but no toaster available, so we only had some muesli. and this "service" has cost us €70? price and quality obviously didn't match. we were very disappointed and would definitely not recommend this b&b.

Response from MullingarBB, Owner at Mullingar B&B
Responded Mar 13, 2016
Hi Katharina P. After speaking to the staff members that were on duty during your stay they informed us that you checked in on a very cold and wet day and requested the heating to be turned up. There are always staff members on site that would have gladly turned down the heat for you if you were too warm but you didn't request this. We are currently renovating the B and B and have successfully renovated 7 out of 13 rooms so far, because we are so busy, it takes time to renovate all rooms/bathrooms. Again the cold tap could have been rectified if we were made aware of the issue. The staff member on duty the morning of your departure clearly remembers serving you toast herself along with cereal orange juice and tea/coffee. Another staff member also kindly assisted you to your car with your luggage. €70 is B and B prices in Mullingar with some charging even more. The price would have been quoted to you on the time of booking. After our hospitality to you by turning up the heat because you were cold and wet, serving you your breakfast and assisting you with your luggage I am disappointed to see such a review on TripAdvisor.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Mullingar B an B. Went to Mullingar with my girlfriend and Dad to take part in the Mullingar 2 day cycle race. The rooms were really nice with a really good ensuite. I had quite a lot of equipment with me such as bikes which i was able to put in a locked store, this was absolutely no hassle. The staff and owner were really nice and made some great breakfasts (including some strange requests for a racing cyclist!!) , they also gave some great suggestions for local restaraunts. If you're going, you need to try The Silver Oak Indian restaraunt, it is awesome!! Location of the B and B is absolutely brilliant, right in the centre with loads of great places to eat and shop nearby. Had a great time, we will definitely be back!!
