We payed 84,55 € per night.  For the facilities we received this was VERY expensive.  We pay less in a Parador for a much better service and facilities! We stayed in room 301 on the 2nd floor. 1/Meanness on the lighting. The light in the room was so fun you could not read. Burned light bulb did not get replaced. I used a light bulb from the hall to have some light.  You used the weakest LED lights,  a few watts more would make the difference and hardly any more consumption!! At night everything was pitch-dark, also outside. Without a torch impossible to find your car.  Although, led lights are available around the building. 2/WIFI in the room did not work. The signal was so weak most appliances(tablet/pc) did not detect a network.  You need WIFI repeaters in a hotel !! 3/TV reception only Spanish and very bad reception quality. In a 3 star hotel you expect satellite TV with international channels. 4/never received clean towels in a week. Bathroom floor never washed. The bathmat got extremely dirty. 5/breakfast only from 9am!! In a nature area where the guests want to go early to walk and see wildlife this is way too late!!!! Normal hotels serve breakfast at 7.30 or latest at 8am. 6/the hotel seemed to have been taken over by new people. The staff was still searching and learning how to serve and operate things. 7/ the hotel is infested with flies. In the room when you opened a window you got 100 flies in the room/bathroom. Horrible.  Unavoidable since there is no other ventilation. 8/The balcony was not usable.  The sooth from the chimney falls on the balcony , table and chairs.  Everything is black and dirty.

Fantastic location to stay, Hotel clean & well managed, Staff very helpful & attentive, Breakfast really nice, Gardens really well kept & pretty. This hotel is the perfect place to view the Cazorla national park, we saw many different animals including Deer & Wild Boar around the hotel grounds. I will certainly return to this great hotel.

We stayed at rural hotel for 3 nights. The Valley within the Sierra de Cazorla is really something to visit, in particular in summer it is a great joy to see the rich and green nature here. The hotel is right in the middle of and besides nice rooms it has a pool area to offer which is quite spectacular. Concerning the staff, however, there is room for improvement. They were not very prepared in giving recommendations or insider tips for hiking and has not maps to offer. One day they changed the code for car park and entrance but didn’t inform the guests upfront. Some kind of an issue in the middle of that night when people returned. The reason why I can award two stars only, however, is the way how they dealt with the situation when a virus spread though the hotel. Whilst those things can happen, it was very unprofessional that staff members continued to serve the guests while obviously being sick.

The restored convent is fantastic and situated in a natural paradise where you can leave the car and walk for miles and see wild boar, deer, eagles, trout etc in their habitats. The owners and staff working in the hotel give excellent service and can't do enough for guests. The chef makes excellent home-cooked food - the traditional migas con tropezones was to die for, and it is well worth paying for half board to save getting the car and going to Arroyo Frio which is the nearest place. The outdoor pool and gardens are fantastic and I will definitely stay here again

The staff were very accommodating especially one lady in particular who checked us in late at night, then served us breakfast the next morning and seemed to be doing a lot of the work and spoke good English and was our translator for the other managers & staff. The room was clean but dated, the bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep.Dinner was a very good, home cooked chicken with nice seasoning but breakfast was very basic and did not fill us up.
