We stayed as a family of 3 adults in a one bedroom apartment. We asked for a higher floor if possible and were allocated one on seventh floor. On arrival reception staff were very friendly and stored our cases until apartment was ready(we arrived mid morning). We took this opportunity to have brunch in the adjacent cafe which was friendly and reasonably priced. The apartment itself was lovely…..spacious and well equipped. There were twin beds in bedroom and pull out bed that was made up on arrival in living area. The kitchen looked very new and has microwave, good hob, large fridge freezer, kettle, coffee maker and toaster together with ample pots pans cutlery and crockery (although only two of some items, which wasn’t a problem). The bathroom was well kitted out with shower, wash basin, loo and bidet as well as ample cupboard space. There was a large safe at a cost of €2.50 per day and quiet but effective air conditioning. Also a washing machine, iron and board should it be needed. The balcony was quite small but nice and private. Rooms were serviced every other day with towel change and bedding changed every 4 days. The location was great, within a few minutes of Los Boliches and only 5 minutes from beach and lots of restaurants and bars close by. All of the staff were lovely…very helpful and friendly…..actually felt like we were in Spain rather than Britain with some sun. If self catering in this area again we would definitely return. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay.

Just back from 2 weeks in this apartment block ,having previously stayed around 5 years ago, I had prior to arriving requested a high floor with a street view which was allocated as requested. The apartments are very clean and modern and well equipped with everything you would need from dishwasher, washing machine large fridge freezer, microwave etc. The apartments are cleaned every 2 days and towels changed at same time. Pool area is very nice and quiet and always had a sunbed available although some could probably do with renewal, the pool area also has a large terrace and Jacuzzi. Reception staff and maintainance staff all very good and eager to help with any issues. Small cafeteria bar attached which we didn’t use but always looked nice and busy. Apartments are in a nice central location in Los Boliches 5 minutes from station and buses, lots of bars restaurants and shops all within easy reach, a small incline needs to be walked up on the way to the apartments but not really an issue for us.Only minor quibbles were WiFi connectivity was a bit of an issue on a few days, and some of the sun loungers and umbrellas could perhaps be replaced. All in all a really nice stay and would recommend, we will definitely be back.

This apartment is very nice, ac is very good, kitchen is well equipped good size fridge freezer
Comfortable beds
Bathroom is great plenty of hot water great shower but not safe for kids you have to always watch as shower is not thermostat controlled so goes really cold or very hot all of a sudden for an adult they can adjust but a small kid could easily get scolded
Internet is bordering on pointless when peak times so not worth messing. TVs are very old so don’t support fire stick.
Great pool nice temperature plenty beds but they’re getting old and can be a little bumpy but ok
We arrived about 11am and weren’t allowed are room till just before 4pm so we sat baking for 5 hrs with a very tired 6yr old in reception the lady on reception was as helpful as she could and pleasant, she offered us the shower room but by the time we had all showered it was so hot in the room we were sweating buckets and worse.
The other lady on reception was really nice Joanna or Joanne I think But the one who wears lips stick all over her face was horrible to my partner, when she asked what days the rooms are cleaned and new towels, very disturbing.
Unfortunately we heard every noise upstairs walking running chairs dragged tables and beds moved and I think they were pretty considerate if it was someone bad you’d never get any sleep
Overall I was happy with the place

Missing household items for everyone in the family. Broken furniture Water ran on the floor in the shower The dishwasher leaked water so we had to change rooms after 2 days Got a less inferior room with a wall view (had booked room with pool view) The washing machine was broken
Had the day after we changed rooms change back to the first room (fixed the dishwasher)
So many hours had to be spent packing up and down clothes and taking everything between rooms
No compensation for this in any way Looking for the boss but he was always busy
So unhappy

The hotel as such is ok, showing its age, but ok. Service on the other hand is horrific, while at parts up to par.
When arriving we were ”greeted” by a black haired receptionist who did nothing to make us feel welcome. The guaranteed early checkin did not materialize via this joke of a customer service representative.
Whatch out with the parking that seems legal, but actually is not. No warning or hint given by the crew of the hotel, so our car got towed.
The pool is not the cleanest, but acceptable. The lifeguard(s) are doing a miserable job. Rules on swimming equpment, balls etc change many times a day. The female lifeguard does not bother to look at the pool, has two phones in active tiktok etc use. Mentioned to the reseptionist which resulted in no playing with balls or diving into the pool for the rest of the day. Phone use continued.
Last service was experienced around the pool thingie again. We had noticed people swimming there quite late, so probably no strict pooltimes, so let allow the kid to go for a night swim before bedtime as we saw 3 kids in the pool already from our balkony. The guy cleaning the sunbeds at the same time would not bother the kid…. Go to the pool and the cleaning guy stops jumping to the pool and says it is closed. Wtf - 3 kids are swimmig there?? Head to the reception where the dark haired worker explains that the pool is closed. Asked why 3 kids are swinming there and the reaponse is that HE works here. Final attempt: so customers that pay HIS salary cannot use the pool, but his kids can?? Answer is yes. O M G !!
The other lady in the reception was very helpful with the car towing incident. The blondish one.

I was sceptical about coming back to Fuengirola having been here 20 years ago and remembering it as Brits Abroad but I'm now a convert to mainland Spain. The Mediterraneaneo Real is situated at the opposite end to downtown Fuengirola, in a place called Los Boliches.
The apartments are great, very high standard and clean with dishwasher, washing machine etc. I asked to be moved to a lower floor as scared of heights and the fabulous receptionist was able to sort it immediately. I went with my two teenage girls and with a little bit of furniture swap around in the lounge (to save our shins on the sofa bed), we all had enough room. My husband and son joined us in another 1 bedroomed apt two days later and again, the fantastic receptionist was able to get them on the same floor.
The supermarket is 2 mins away with everything you need plus pharmacy opposite. It's a very quiet area but literally a 5 minute walk gets you to the first set of shops/restaurants. Another 2 minute walk and you're on the seafront where you will find EVERYTHING! We're pretty easy going on holiday; I want pool, beach and food and the boys wanted sports bars for the footie and we were all happy.
The seafront is beautiful and you can walk forever (I walked 7 miles out and back one day) and although I was initially shocked at how built up it was (no low rise skyline here, be warned) I got used to it and thoroughly enjoyed the accessibility to everything.
You're half an hour from Malaga airport and for those more adventurous than us, there is tons to do with trips to Gibraltar etc. Loads of water sports on a life guarded beach and the sea was beautiful.
All in all, if you're looking for a remote holiday with empty beaches, this isn't for you. If you want everything at your fingertips with a quiet hotel, slightly off the beaten track (no sun lounger races) then you can't go wrong. We're looking to book directly next year and can't wait to return. Adios Los Boliches!

Firstly, we had a lovely stay at the appartments which were very well equipped. Even to the point of having a washing machine and dishwasher. On requesting additional pillows etc, and a minor repair to the shower this was carried out straight away. The reception staff were good, but Joanna in particular was the most helpful, welcoming and pleasant. The pool staff were brilliant too. We had booked for four adults, as our two children are 15, a boy and a girl, therefore no longer share a bed. This meant myself and my wife having to share the very uncomfortable sofa bed. Not great for two weeks holiday. Like other people staying in the appartments, we found the the odd screw would fall off from the frame of the sofa bed. We did ask for a single fold out bed so our children could sleep separately, but these aren't available. So all in all, a nice enough appartment, well managed, well equipped and well positioned, but could be made to be more comfortable. Would we go back? Yes but only if a two bedroom was available, or only as a couple. Thanks for a lovely stay, but from our experience not suitable for two adults and two 15 year olds.

A very nice place away from all ”loud englishmen in center Fuengirola”.. (Well, they are occasionally here on the hotel as well but the staff makes a great job keeping the noice down) The hotel is perfect for families and couples with a great pool and heated “jacuzzi” (more like a kids pool) and a very high standard on the rooms and the hotel as a whole. Near to everything but not near the “party noice”. Los Boliches is very beautiful with all alleys an bars/restaurants. A big plus is the Mercadona (large grocery store who is just around the corner. Trainstop is 250 meters away..

We stayed here for two weeks last month and we lived the apartments. Our apartment was modern and spotless. Bathroom had a great shower and was modern also. The kitchen had everything you need ,including a dishwasher. Spacious balcony where we enjoyed a glass of wine before going out. The pool was lovely and there was plenty of sun beds. The staff were very friendly. Joanna on reception was amazing nothing was to much trouble and she was extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

When I arrived I was greeted by the receptionist. This lady was very rude, unhelpful and blunt to not only myself but other families upon check in. This began my stay with a bad taste in my mouth. I booked a pool view room and received the opposite. Apart from the one staff member that was extremely rude , the rest of the staff were lovely. The pool was clean. The bar beside the pool was not open, which was disappointing. The room was however clean and provided many utensils in the kitchen. On my last day I spent the day by the pool before my flight and one staff member was kind enough to offer me to use the private shower to freshen up before my flight. I’m not sure if I would go back again. However I am grateful for the helpfulness of most staff members and the hotel being so close to all amenities and local attractions.
