Hotel is short walk to the beach and coastal promenade, it’s even closer the the railway station of Torreblanca which runs from Fuengirola to Malaga and is cheap and clean, this is next door to the Hotel, so would advise independent travellers to look at travelling down from Malaga airport in comparison to bus/taxi.
Hotel was re-furbished only a few years ago and decor is bright and rooms are spacious and clean with excellent views.
Food was well cooked and plentiful and there was many choices even for the blinkered northerners who feast on chips their entire holiday!! The Tapas section changes daily and the dining area is also spacious and well staffed.
Outside there are two pools, which both open after breakfast at 10am via gates, a wonderful idea to stop the ridiculous towel droppers and selfish fools.
There is a single bar which sells daily drinks and snacks on request to all inclusive guests who feel the need to eat more!
Both pools are excellent for swimming, neither particularly cold and access to both is simple and both large pools and a toddler/ baby pool connected.
Evening entertainment is what you make it and that often determines the enjoyment factor
The bar is well serviced and open till 12.
Overall this is a excellent Hotel and does exactly what it says on the tin

First time here and overall we enjoyed our stay here. First off the staff are very friendly and from reception, domestic and bar staff were all excellent and approachable.
We were a 2 adults and 2 teens and had 4 singles in 1 room which was a little bit of a squeeze but ok.
The rooms are clean and modern and we were happy with it. Air con was very much needed during the heat wave! The domestic staff were good too, polite and did a good job.
The only quibbles I had with the room was (we overlooked the top pool), the laminate flooring picks up every noise above! Also the road is noisy with mopeds and delivery wagons when quiet, the sliding door on the veranda needs to be sound proofed, the road noise woke me several times and we were 5 floors up! However the views were amazing of the sea and the mountains. Perfect to sit and take it all in.
Food - we went Half Board and didn't have a problem, plenty of choice and you can swap lunch for evening meal if you want or vice versa(they tick off if you have lunch)
My 16 year old is very picky with food and would disagree about the choice! Only 1 lunch did we feel the choice was a little disappointing(Sunday)
The pool/garden area was our fave area, we were bottom pool fans and got loungers where we wanted then every day on the grass and close enough to go for a dip. The gardens are immaculately kept so well done to the estate staff who lovingly tended the lovely flowers/bushes and grass.
The pools were the warmest I've ever known and its the first pool I've ever not had an issue with cold at all!
The hill really isn't that bad, it's a 5 min walk at worst and only if you had walking difficulties would you struggle. The gate is open 10am -8pm with your room card if you want to cut across the hotel gardens for a short cut.
The hotel main areas are a concert room and a couple of other areas where u can sit and read or have a relax.
We particularly liked the more civilised way of doing the sun lounger bun fight. Everyone got a lounger every day and there wasn't 1 argument.
Overall we recommend the Hotel Torreblanca. The train station next door is a gift. We used it a lot (market day fuengirola, arroya de la miel, fuengirola,.Los Boliches) so easy from the airport and back and much cheaper than a taxi, there are loads of folks do it. When at Torreblanca train station, turn left out of the station car park and walk up the road at the rear of the hotel (the hotel has a large vertical pink stripe on the side of it!)
Thanks to all at the Torreblanca Hotel for a brilliant holiday.

The hotel was what it said on the advert. For the star rating it is very good. Free safe, fridge in room. No coffee/tea making facilities so if you like your brew in the morning take your travel kettle. Sun beds and pool open at 10am so no saving beds, which is brilliant, plenty off beds around both pools and on grass garden. Hotel is on a slop but if you go out through garden gate your half way down, once down lovely beach and plenty of shops, bar and eating places.
Food: your always find something to eat.
Dinks: first AI I been to were you get premium drinks and you get proper tonic.
Entertainment: Geared for the older generation, not a young couple place but ok if you want to just rewind. Bar staff are brilliant all ways smiling. Reception and waiting staff could learn from them.

I have stayed in this hotel several times and will continue to do so. For me, it represents, by far, the best value and customer service of all the hotels in Fuengirola.

The service in the hotel is simply fantastic in all departments. All of the staff work extremely hard and should be very proud of their commitment to helping guests and ensuring they have a great holiday.

Rooms are very spacious, clean and modern. Every room has a sea view. The beds are very comfortable (I requested a mattress topper). Wifi, mini fridge and a digital safe are provided within the cost of the room.

The restaurant provides a great selection of very tasty food with an international menu. There is always a varied selection at all meals. On tap filtered water is provided free at lunch and dinner regardless of your meal plan. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available in the restaurant at very reasonable prices if you’re not on the all inclusive plan.

The bars are well stocked and like the restaurant, prices are reasonable. The all inclusive drinks are not international brands although I believe there is a discount on branded drinks if you buy them when on the AI plan.

The lovely grounds are spacious with plenty of loungers. The pools open at 10.00 and in the busy periods there will be a queue forming prior to opening time. Pool towels are available at a small cost and can be changed daily with the lifeguard. The pool bar sells a variety of tasty snacks in the afternoon, some of which are free to AI guests.

I had a wonderful holiday made especially so by the really fantastic staff and I truly thank them for their genuine help and kindness. I can’t wait till my next visit in June.

Good and bad honest review:

Myself and my son ( aged 9) Currently staying at this hotel.

On arrival at 10.45pm ,receptionist was very friendly and informed us we could get a snack from the restaurant if we were hungry. Hotel is immaculate and cleaned to a high standard!

Room:
Room is very spacious and clean. All linen is clean and smells lovely and fresh. Good size beds and balcony, tv with a few British channels but not much. There is free air con and free safe.
Bathroom is big and comes with complimentary toiletries such as toothbrush, razor, soaps etc. also a hairdryer in bathroom( which is a good dryer!) room is cleaned daily and towels changed on your request by putting dirty towels in the bath tub.

Restaurant: typical all inclusive buffet meals but always plenty of choice.
We are staying half board basis, we have breakfast and choose to have lunch instead of evening dinner which you can change by just informing the person in restaurant of your room number.
Breakfast is 08:00-10.00
Lunch : 13:00-15:00
Dinner 19:00-22:00

Pool:
Doesn’t open until 10:00. There is always a queue at the gate waiting for it to
Open. There is a main pool with pool bar but also a grassed area with another pool hidden in the far corner of the grassed area which many people didn’t know about.

Now the bad bits!

If your under 70 years of age, the hotel is not a great choice. Very limited daily entertainment at the pool, the odd water aerobics. Zero childrens entertainment day or night.
The live singers in the evening start at 22.15, are awful and seem to be for the elderly Spanish tourists more than anything.
if your all inclusive you’d probably end up leaving the hotel every evening. The hotel is not family friendly at all. We were unable to sit outside the bar most evenings as the seats are so close and every single person was smoking and covering us in smoke.

There is a LOT of waiting around, waiting for pool to open, then waiting for drinks as the bar doesn’t open Until 11am. ( no vending machines either) Then AI and half board share the same pool bar at 11am so often waiting for loads of people to get their coffees at the pool while we just want a water.

There are no vending machines for snacks or drinks at night , so only option is to walk to the shops ( which is a steep hill back to hotel)

The majority of holiday makers are Dutch and Spanish. Very few British people.

Lovely hotel but could be so much better!

I wouldn’t stay again.

Booked this hotel due to the fact it was a few minutes away from where some of our family live and we wanted a hotel to stay in whilst visiting them. What a lovely hotel in a very prominent position just a few minutes walk to the beach and the railway station just behind the hotel. We were fortunate to be allocated a high floor room with a sea view and lovely balcony. The hotel is very clean and tidy and the room was cleaned daily to a high standard and nothing was too much trouble. We had booked half board but was given the opportunity to change dinner for lunch whenever we needed to which was a great help. Our first impression of the restaurant was that it was understaffed but as the week went on more staff seemed to appear and I believe the hotel had only just reopened from been closed for the winter. As in most hotel dining rooms it usually takes a couple of days to find were everything is and how it all works, the quality of the food was good and enough of a choice for a weeks stay although a couple of things could be improved, the breakfast juice out the machines was not as good as fresh juice and the toaster machines could be improved. The two swimming pool’s and the sunbathing garden were kept very clean and the fact none of the sun beds had towels on them to reserve them was good to see. Overall we were happy with the hotel and would definitely stay again.

Reception, snack bar, restaurant and bar staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Rooms have a very helpful anti-space as you enter and are very large and comfortable with lots of storage and an adequate balcony with side sea view.
Food was average and on at least 1 night I struggled to fill up.
All inclusive package was decent for drinks.
The big issue was that they have a lovely grassy area with loungers in between the two pools with a helpful gate half way down the hill which is locked between 7pm and 10am so we were unable to use them which was very frustrating. The evening meal only started at 7pm and this made us lose our evening out. Entertainment lacked for our grandchildren although Adam did his best to entertain them. The latter three things really spoiled our holiday. I personally would not go there again until I was assured these were fixed. Then it's worth 4 stars.

So we've just got back from our week's stay at this hotel and have to say I was impressed. We stayed half board which worked well for us, we had breakfast and dinner included but could swap dinner for lunch easily if we were going out for dinner that night. I believe they also have a picnic option.
The hotel was a 5 min walk to the beach, granted it was on a hill but it wasn't mount everest like I saw in another review. There was a supermarket round the back of the hotel which sold everything you needed and the hotel is right next door to the train station which was very handy, we used it for trips to other resorts. You could easily get the train from the airport.
I was very impressed with the room, it was quite modern in design, we were on the 6th floor. The room had decent Aircon which was a god send this time of year It was nice walking into a fridge after being out in the hot, we slept like baby's in the cool room. The room also had a fridge and safe we could use at no extra cost. The staff were great, very friendly and happy to help.
The hotel didn't open the pools till 10am which I thought was a good idea so everyone had a fair chance at getting sunbeds rather than sneeking out at 6am to put towels on the sunbeds. There was a que for this but if u got there 9.45am you should be able to get something in a decent spot. There was only one life guard for 2x pools which seemed a little pointless, he'd come and have a look every 30 mins or so which wouldn't be of much help if someone got into trouble, our son is only 7 so we were keeping a close eye on him ourselfs.
Someone else put in a review about having to wait for lifts, we didn't think this was excessive ourselfs, no more than other hotels we've stayed at. I guess I'd have to say the entertainment wasn't amazing, seemed to be quite samey across the week, personally I'm not fussed by this so was no real loss for me. I didn't see any kids clubs so unsure if there was any. I thought the food was pretty decent, very much the same style you get across all spanish and Greek holidays but felt fairly good quality and well cooked, rotated slightly each night. If you're a fuss Pott or on a restrictive diet then u might struggle but again this would be the same in any spanish hotel.
I thought both the hotel and the area was great for families, on the quieter side but with enough resturants and shops and bars. Didn't see any loud stag or hen do type party's. The beach was bigger than most of the other bigger resorts in the area and the water was shallow till quite far out again which I thought was good for families with younger kiddies. We spent a day at Fengurola beach where the sea went deep very quickly and the tide was very powerful. If you're still reading my verbose review then it means you care about where you're going and I'm sure you'll have a great time here.... Happy holidays 😀

A perfectly located and well laid out hotel. Rooms are generous and spotlessly clean.

The pool area is lovely with plenty of sun loungers plus there's 2 grassed areas also with sun beds. The pool and grassed area doesn't open until 10am but you can still access the loungers by the pool. The bar is conveniently placed between these areas. Drinks are very good for AI! There is a spa on site, I indulged in a Hamam with massage and enjoyed every second of it. There is an indoor pool that can be used by guests for free. You must wear a swim cap and have flip flops.

Food was very good with plenty of choice at breakfast dinner and tea. My only negative here is occasionally some.of the food was just warm, there is a microwave to heat food though.

The beach is literally 3 mins away across the road from the rear entrance to the hotel. The beaches are lovely with toilets spaced along the beach. along the front are lots of shops bars and restaurants offering all types of food. Its a great olace for an evening wall and nice and flat!

I found staff to be friendly and helpful. Entertainment was hit and missed and geered towarda the spanish guests but nothing too awful.

I have just returned home today from another great holiday at the Hotel Monarque Torreblanca. It was even better than previous visits which were all very good.

I always base my ratings on services, quality of the product and value for money as opposed to how many stars a hotel has.

Check in was a breeze and the receptionist was very helpful, especially in explaining the hotel's Covid protocol. I was allocated a room as per my booking request. The rooms have all been renovated and are very pleasant, with a fridge, safe and wifi, all of them free. Beds are firm and comfortable and the balconies are a good size. I think that all of the rooms have a sea view. Cleaning was to a high standard, towel change was daily and the sheets changed mid week.

I compliment the managers and staff of the bars and restaurant for their great, efficient, friendly service and hard work. The food was very tasty with a good variety at all meals.

The pools and gardens are a delight to relax in. There are plenty of well spaced out loungers which the lifeguard disinfects every time a guest leaves. The pool bar is well stocked and also provides food, mainly snacks. I really enjoyed the Tapas available from 4.30 every day. The service at this bar was great.

The Covid protocol was very good and taken very seriously by all of the staff. I never felt at risk.

The staff at this hotel are the best I have encountered in a very long time. They work so hard but are always very friendly and efficient. They are the main reason I have given 5 stars this time.

I thank everyone at the hotel for making my holiday so great and I look forward to seeing them again next year.
