I would not recommend the hotel to anyone under the age of 50 though as the bulk of people at hotel were over this age and the entertainment was catered for this age range as well.
The pool is decent but has a fence all around all day which is ok but might be an eyesore to some people.
Food : I would not recommend getting any board at this hotel apart from room only as the food is catered more towards the spanish holidaymakers. I went for Breakfast the 1st day of a 7 day holiday and did not eat breakfast from the hotel again. I did not eat lunch as I had half board and chose dinner. Dinner was not good either. I did manage to make a meal with chips but only ate dinner half the time I was at hotel. It may be good food for spanish people or other holidaymakers but not for me.
Location : Torreblanca Station is 5 mins walk from the station which you can get to by train from the airport. There is a lovely supermarket over the road from the hotel but it closes early, very early. The bus stop is few minutes walk from the hotel which takes about 15-20 mins to Fuengirola Central depending on time of day. I would not recommend the shop by the bus stop as they seem to inflate there prices by a lot for tourists. The beach is 5 minutes walk and has 2 irish pubs there where you can get a decent breakfast.

There is a wide range of food to choose from. Some can be cold, depending on when it's brought out, but on the whole hot and tasty. There is a microwave if you need to heat anything up.
I'm a veggie and didn't struggle to find anything to eat, the vegan chilli was very nice.
The pool is a good size. There is a life guard who cleans the pool of leaves throughout the day.
Cleaners and gardeners are about throughout the day, maintaining all public areas.
Not too many sunbeds and people do queue to get them. They are locked up until 10am.
The beach is just across the road and you can hire a sunbed there for 5 euros.
We have booked again for next year.
We were All Inclusive and the food was ok
Obviously not Michelin star for this price point but was always something nice to eat, selection of fish and meats or salads etc.
Some was not the warmest but the English are in the minority here (mainly Spanish and German) but there are microwaves if needed, I never needed one.
Desserts were actually better than most hotels.
Drinks in dining hall served in jugs so you could have 500ml of whatever, wine, sangria, beer etc
Again kept very clean.
Drinks were standard AI and served with a smile and quickly
All staff were pleasant.
Grounds are massive with decking and grass areas.
Indoor pool nice, outdoor was closed.
Close to beach and 5 mins from the train station opening up the ability to travel cheaply.
Taxi rank outside.
Went to Mijas which is beautiful and taxi was 15 euro each way.
All in all, for what we paid, can't fault it
There was a small fridge in the fridge but no tea or coffee making facilities, although we did take our own. There is a supermarket just across the road from the entrance of the hotel which was handy for ice, drink etc. Second the food in the hotel was not that great. To be fair there was plenty of choice but very repetitive. Also we did not find the dinning room to be particularly clean, dirty plates , cockroaches, staff handling food with their bare hands. Also guests touching fresh fruit etc, not using the tongs provided. If you are half board you have the option of changing your dinner for lunch which we did most days, only having dinner two nights of the twelve we were there. There is also a nice restaurant called the Anchor again across from the front entrance which service good meals, we ate in there on two occasions. If you are eating in the restaurant go early as for some reason the later you go you have to queue up.
There are some good restaurants in Los Bolliches which is a short walk from the hotel.
The swimming pool and grass area are always busy for beds, having to queue before 10 am. The indoor pool is good and quieter being away from the outdoor area.
Unfortunately would not return to this hotel.
Also, because it's from the Monarque Club, they give you 30 minutes of spa (??), which doesn't give you time for anything (16 euros cost 1 hour of the mini-spa they have) and a complimentary appetizer to choose from, which you get anyway in the All Inclusive, so it is also absurd. Of course, they give you a discount when you book on their website.
At exactly 6:00 p.m. they close the pool (literally, the lifeguard leaves and they fence it so that no one can enter it), so you find yourself in the heated pool of the spa with bustle (remember that it is a relaxation area ), without anyone doing anything to prevent it.
In short, a very poor hotel for a 4-star hotel, very repetitive and poor quality buffet, shower with a simple rusty shower head, a small anthill in the bathroom of the room, uncomfortable bed, very poor and poorly organized entertainment activities, ...
A shame, because it has a good location (5 minutes walk from the train station and the beach), but it urgently needs renovation and changing certain policies.
I do not think I'll come back.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were given a room with a bed that was 135 cm wide. We complained about this impossibility straight away, but were only given another room the next day. We did not pay the €40 we were asked to pay for the additional cleaning, but only after complaining.
The hotel is actually ripe for renovation.
The hotel's classification is questionable.
But the hotel dining room had the charm of an industrial canteen from the 1970s and no soundproofing.
The food on offer is also stuck at the level of the 1970s.
All the food was poorly prepared, there was no variety at breakfast, fried eggs were swimming in oil, scrambled eggs in water. Only the salad selection met the hotel standard stated. For guests on pensioner trips according to the Spanish pensioner travel companies or travelers from Bulgaria, this may be sufficient.
You can see the quality of the food offered by the two pictures in the appendix. 1 x the description, 1 x raw poultry schnitzel. Fortunately, this was noticed after the first bite and there were no health consequences.

We hired a car from Malaga car rental with no problem
When we arrived at hotel we checked in with no problem hotel reception staff speak English and were extremely friendly. We had car parking with is just outside hotel with plenty of spaces.
We had a room on the 4th floor overlooking the swimming pool balcony has table and two chairs and gets the sun in afternoon. The room itself had twin beds together with just one pillow but housekeeping provided more you have to ask. Room was comfortable it has a fridge tv. Slighted dated there was a crack in laminate floor. Bathroom had bath with shower above shower gel provided sink toilet and bidet also hair dryer.
In wardrobe there was a safe you need to get key from reception
There is no tea coffee or kettle in room but we alway bring a travel kettle
We had half board the dining room is on floor 0 and there is a life and slope for disabled food in the restaurant was buffet style with a different range of foods that anyone could find to eat they cater for vegan vegetarian as well. The restaurant is spacious with waiters and waitresses clearing tables and resetting food is constantly being topped up. Drinks you have to buy and a jug of wine was about 6€
The hotel itself has evening entertainment there is also a spa on the premises the out door pool wasn’t open.
The hotel is in walking distance to the beach there are plenty of taxis outside the hotel. There is also a bus route towards the beach
Very pleasant hotel

Sadly there was never enough sunbeds around the pool, many people were precious about this and practically camped out to get the same spot, there was plenty of space around the pool but for some reason they only put sunbeds on one side of the pool. There was loads of fun games and activities at the pool which was enjoyed by all. Occasionally the pool was very dirty, we used the indoor pool mostly as it was very welcoming, especially to cool you down with the 31 degree heat. You need a cap for the indoor pool, they cost 1.5 Euro at the spa reception.
This hotel has a very authentic feel as many guest are Spanish, which we love so it was great to see. There were a minority of guest that were quite unkind, not aware that we could understand bits of what they were saying, my children were upset at these guests however I explained that you get unkind people everywhere and they are a minority!
The location is lovely, right by the beach and close to bars if you want to venture out.
We thought the food was delicious, fresh and tasty. The all inclusive as a whole was pleasantly surprising, the drink options and ice creams and milkshakes for the kids. Also the savoury snacks at the pool bar were lovely, Spanish Tapas.
Now sadly the reason we have given 3 star is the rooms. They are very dated and need upgrading! The beds, we were in a double room apparently, this was 2 single beds put together and they kept moving apart as they are on wheels, so sadly my husband and I slept separately the whole holiday. The pillows were so poor that my husband had come home with a very tender neck. The balcony felt very unstable also and we were 6 floors up so I kept the kids off the balcony. Finally the walls are paper thin, we heard our neighbours shower, talking and everything else!!!!!!!!!!!
All in all this was a nice pleasant holiday and if the rooms weren’t so poor it would definitely be a solid 4.
The hotel is mainly full of Spanish guests and so therefore caters mainly for the Spanish, the food, the music, the day and night entertainment etc
The food is nothing more than average, and never hot no matter what time you go. The choice is very limited but you would not starve. The drinks on the AI were fine, exactly what you would expect. One of our party is vegan and got a vegan pizza made for him and he could manage to find something to eat although repetitive
The hotel is immaculate and clean, constant cleaning in progress. Our room was fine, safe, hairdryer and Aircon in the room - no extra charge for air con. Most of the staff were great, very hard working. Some prefer to give service to the Spanish guests first regardless of who was there first.
The outdoor pool is way to small for a hotel of this size, and there is no where near enough parasols/umbrellas for the amount of people/sun beds. There are shaded areas in the lovely gardens and a fabulous indoor pool. The indoor pool is lovely and clean you have to wear a swim hat but you can buy them for £1.50.
I would not stay here again due to the location, lack of shade for the sun beds and pool size. It was fine for a week. The staff on the whole are helpful and very hard working
If you get the bus into the centre (just outside the hotel) you can then get the 122 bus to Mijas which is a lovely village to look round and well worth the cheap bus fare.
"The hotel reception can advise on trips too, there's one to Gibraltar where you can go to the rock and see the caves and the monkeys. "Read full review
"Pool loungers are always busy, get there early. Pool bar is great. If going to seafront, go via the back gate, it's much quicker. "Read full review
