Large comfortable room with a small kitchenette, but there was everything we needed to make a little simpler food when we couldn't bear to go out to eat. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, a stone's throw from the promenade with a sandy beach. Restaurants and shops are everywhere nearby but despite the central location there were no disturbing noises at night. The hotel as a whole is a pleasant experience, a hearty breakfast and friendly staff, I am happy to recommend Hotel Pyr

This Hotel is fine, in a general sense, but be aware that the Wi Fi is very slow, and spotty. There are Karaoke Bars near by that are very loud. The front desk staff is not particularly knowledgable about services in the area. The pools mentioned are no longer heated, as their systems do not meet the national standards set for efficiency.

Good location near the harbour and beaches, clean and nice rooms, soft towels and a nice pool bar, BUT... The pool is mainly for adults and close to no playing around and no pool toys in the pool is allowed. Quite noisy airconditioning. The breakfast buffet is the same every day and not worth the money, unless you simply need a cup of coffee, a boring bread roll with butter and jam. The hotel staff is friendly, but do not serve you as a guest. A "customer first" perspective would be appropriate, as this seems more like a me-me-me attitude not serving the hotel guests. One example (of many): asked if we could extend our stay and check out late, the answer was no, because no rooms were available. We merely needed a place to shower and clean up before leaving. I went to booking.com and hotels.com and could easily book several rooms for more days. Asked at the reception if we could book another night, the answer was yes. Why not earn the extra money for a couple of hours late check-out?

We enjoyed our stay here self catering kitchen had all we needed plenty of small shops and a bakery close by to stock up.. Beds were very comfortable and our room was cleaned every day. Fantastic shower. We were on the eighth floor and found it very peaceful and quiet with very comfortable beds. Our balcony overlooked the pool. The pool itself was large and very clean with plenty of sun loungers, The only thing I was disappointed with at the pool area was the beer was € 3.50 and I’d say it wasn’t much more than a half pint. Location was just perfect for us with plenty of restaurants and bars close by overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to the Pyr

Just been for the fourth time and it was even nicer. Our room had been updated and they now have keycards. We booked a partial sea view half term week and it cost less than ÂŁ41 a night. It is in a super location on the seafront. Less than 10 mins walk from the train station which costs 3.60 euros from the airport and trains run every 20mins. The outdoor area and pool is always open in February and lovely to sit in even if it's not warm enough to swim. We never have breakfast in the restaurant but behind a curtain in your room is a kitchenette with two rings, microwave and kettle plus all utensils. The fridge is a good size . I read one review which said the bar was not open but that has never happened when we have been there. All the staff are wonderful and it is a very friendly place. Love it!

We went for a self catering winter break Jan.'25 and we really had a very poor experience at this Hotel.
The positives, which are few ; The Cleaning staff , The Maintenance staff and one of the Managers , Anna May who was very understanding and customer friendly. Location, close to bus & train station.
The Negatives ;
On arrival, we paid for a room upgrade for the duration of our stay .We were given room 236 , which overlooks a couple of strip clubs. The shutters don't come down until 5am and the noise and aggressive behaviour ensured we got no sleep on our first night. We looked for an immediate change of room.
We moved to the 9th floor same side (slightly less noise) , to a room that turned out to be like a Sauna and we couldn't control the heat We were give electric fans , this didn't work. On the move again.
We then moved to the other side of the Hotel to a Stuio Apartment. ( upgraded) - this was fine for a while until a bad smell ( drain) started filtering through the while Apartment , it stayed here 'til we left. Reception thought workmen may have been the cause if it , as almost half of the Apartments are privately owned.
Self catering facilities are poor and hidden behind a curtain. The smell in the room ensured we did not make full use of the self catering facilities.
Finally , Customer Service would need to be worked on , after all we are paying customers - Guests.

We stayed here 3 nights from 8th of November to the 11th of November. The hotel is big, right beside beach, shops, restaurants etc. Very clean. Our room had a beautiful view of the beach. Very big balcony. The beds were comfortable. Room had a large wardrobe, tv, drawers, large bedroom, large bathroom with bath, shower, dressing mirror & toilet. Cleaners cleaned our room everyday. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Breakfast had plenty to eat. We were very happy with this hotel. We had read bad reviews before we left & we all thought the same why the bad reviews as its a great hotel. The bars & nightclubs are outside BUT when you close the balcony door you can't hear a thing.

Myself and my sister took my mum on holiday to this hotel due to its location and because my mum has reduced mobility. It was perfect. We had a room suitable for her mobility needs, it was large; clean and had everything we needed for the week including a very good accessible bathroom. The staff were helpful and helped us hire a mobility scooter which were readily available from different businesses nearby. There’s a room downstairs that you can use to recharge them safely. The house keeping staff were efficient and friendly. The pool area was good, nothing fancy but not loud. We ate breakfast at the hotel once and it was nice. The location is excellent. The area is flat. There’s a couple of great restaurants right next to the hotel but the main restaurant areas are really close by. It’s right near the harbour. There’s a great bakery opposite. I would recommend this hotel, we had a very nice stay and are likely to return.

We stayed at PYR fuengirola hotel for a week in a 2 bed appartment with sea view. Overall, we had a nice holiday as we were there with another family, however we wouldn't return again to this hotel. This is the first time we have stayed in a 3 star hotel and as a base it it ticks all the boxes.
Pro's Spacious appartment for us as a family of 6. Lots of room with 2 x bathrooms and air con was good during our stay.
The hotel is situated in a great location for exploring the local area as there are plenty of souvenir shops and restaurants nearby with beach and marina literally opposite hotel where there is a choice of water sports to be found also.
Cleaners worked hard in the hotel and tidied our room daily.
Con's Breakfast was very basic and boring not worth the money at all.
Due to location we found our appartment could be very noisy at night especially on a Saturday. Our appartment was facing the marina and beach and live music is played over at the marina which was sooooo loud the windows were vibrating in our appartment. We had ear plugs in and still struggled to sleep!
Wouldn't recommend staying here if you are a light sleeper.
We didn't find the staff particularly helpful nor very friendly when we had issues with our booking. They didn't seem interested in wanting to keep their guests happy.
Pool area is very strict- no balls allowed not even floats only arm bands. No good for kids who want to have fun! Pool would suit people who just want to stand in the water or swim only. We were told the pool is shared with local residents which is why there is this rule.

The room (studio) had just been renovated and was clean. The air conditioning did not cool the room even though it was in cooling mode. I posted a message about it, but no one came to investigate or fix it. Keeping the balcony door open helped at night, but there was a lot of noise from the nightclubs in the neighborhood that were open all night. Daily cleaning worked well. The kitchen equipment is quite sufficient.
