Ilunion Fuengirola is lauded by many travelers for its superb location, granting easy access to the beach, local dining, and public transportation. While opinions on value diverge, with some guests finding the hotel lacking, others are impressed by the cleanliness and attentive staff. The hotel's atmosphere boasts modern touches and a lovely pool deck, despite a less lively bar scene.
Rooms offer impressive views and ample space, though some suggest they could benefit from an update. Cleanliness is a strong suit, as is the commendable service, particularly towards disabled guests, but certain amenities may fall short for some visitors.

Stay of 3 days/2 nights in accessible room, not very large room with beds that for my taste should be higher and correct furniture but somewhat old-fashioned, of course, the bathroom of the room is the most and best adapted of the hotels I have been in: high toilet with side bars that adjust in height (this for me was great since I walk and I need that the bars are not very high to be able to exert force with the arms to get up), sink well and shower with seat taken to the wall movable along the length of the shower by a rail, adjustable in height and with two arms also hinged, real non-slip floor and a curtain that rises and falls by a switch so that you do not flood the rest of the bathroom; of ten. Of course, apparently not all adapted rooms have this type of bathroom.
The reception staff and cafeteria/restaurant/breakfast are the friendliest I have encountered in a hotel, you can see that they have been trained to cater for people with various abilities/disabilities and make you spend a very pleasant stay, which together with the location of the hotel on the beachfront of Los Boliches make it highly recommended for all types of guests.

I loved the hotel’s inclusive policy! It is really crucial to increasingly build bridges and tear down walls. Providing employment opportunities to those with disabilities is the most humane thing possible, as well as providing all the conditions for guests with disabilities to have the best possible stay without feeling that they are left out due to their limitations.
The location is fantastic: in front of the sea, lots of restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops and even Mercadona nearby.
Breakfast is very varied and they are always restocking, even after the breakfast time limit.
The beach is very accessible, there is a bathroom, a shower and the sea water is warm.
The coast is perfect for taking a walk at any age and with any type of physical limitation. There's even a bike path.
In summary: I loved the hotel and Fuengirola. I have never visited but I will certainly return in the future. Regarding the Ilunion hotel chain, I am a new fan and member. I will always try to frequent your hotels as I loved your policy.
Congratulations on the project!

10/10 for the situation of the Ilunion. Right on the promenade and close to all amenities. Whilst the public areas of the hotel are 4* the staff are most definitely 5*. Very pleasant and helpful and most of them spoke English. Which is a real bonus if your Spanish is confined to si, hola & gracias. Our room was pretty basic but clean and had a very comfortable bed. A fridge, a safe, a kettle and hair dryer are provided and a laundry service is available. The air-con is included and works while the windows are closed. The shower head is above a bath so getting in and out could prove difficult. My wife was placing the towelling bath mat in the bottom of the bath in case she slipped, but after two days the room service provided a rubber bathmat without being asked. The hotel restaurant is aimed towards Spanish holiday makers so if you want a full English or fish & chips n mushy peas don't book the meals. The food is plentiful and buffet style. A fine selection of cold meats, salad, fruit and cheese is available at every meal. The breakfast choice is sometimes a bit random and don't believe the little cards above the fare at dinner. The food is fine but not hot enough for British tastes. The Ilunion is totally inclusive so no doubt have rooms to accommodate guests who suffer disabilities. All in all the pros massively outweigh the cons, and we left as happy holidaymakers.

I stayed in this hotel as a solo traveller on a room only basis from 03 February 2023 to 03 March 2023, a total of 28 nights.
I was warmly greeted at Reception by Elizabeth who completed the check in formalities, explained the facilities available in the hotel and handed me my room key. As I had reserved a standard room Elizabeth informed me that the room would not have a sea view or a balcony but if I wished to I could upgrade to a room with a balcony and a lateral sea view for 10 Euros per night. However in view of the fact that my stay was in the winter months I did not anticipate spending much of my time sitting on a balcony and also as the beach was just across the road from the front door of the hotel I did not avail myself of this offer although Elizabeth did tell me that if I changed my mind I could move to a room with a balcony at any time during my stay!
The room which I was allocated (501) was very spacious with two single beds, a comfortable arm chair, a desk, a wall mounted flat screen television (with 2 English language channels - BBC 1 and ITV 1), a small refrigerator and a hospitality tray with kettle and tea and coffee making facilities. There was also a desk with a chair, a set of drawers and two very large fitted wardrobes with a good supply of hangers. There was a small digital safe within one of the wardrobes which was free to use. The bathroom was also very spacious with a very large walk in shower. I suspect that the room was intended for people with mobility issues as the doors were wide enough to enable the use of a wheelchair!
As I usually travel as a solo traveller I find that in most hotels I am allocated the smallest room in the hotel and it was a very pleasant change in this instance to be allocated such a spacious room!
The room was cleaned every day to a very high standard with bedding and towels changed as and when required and also the tea, coffee, milk and sugar were replenished daily.
As my reservation was on a room only basis I did not use the restaurant but there are numerous dining establishments within close proximity to the hotel.
Every member of the hotel staff with whom I came in to contact was pleasant, courteous and helpful. I would particularly like to thank Elizabeth and Rosa on Reception for their excellent customer service!
The hotel is wonderfully located for a stay in Los Boliches/Fuengirola. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this hotel and I would have no hesitation in reserving a room here again if I ever return to this area!

We stayed here for 1 week we booked with Jet2 who were excellent
I find the 5 star reviews on here astounding as this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in
The rooms look nothing like the pictures. We were given a very small room in the part that overlooks the pool, you would get no sun in these rooms as the other building blocks the sun especially at that time of year.
We asked to be moved and was charged a further 105 euros.
The new room was the same as the other room but a bit bigger on the top floor which was much better, the rooms need renovating and when I went into the bathroom it had not even been cleaned despite there being clean towels in there, after complaining at reception the bathroom was cleaned.
The next morning we went down to breakfast and I can only say it was the worst breakfast I have ever seen.
We were not late but arrived 45 minutes before it was due to finish everything was cheap and we could only find 2 pieces of stale bread available but a few rolls.
The sausages and streaky bacon was inedible and looked badly cooked and presented.
We left the restaurant to eat elsewhere
Our Jet2 rep was very good but unfortunately it wasn't viable for us to be moved she suggested that we downgraded to room only which we did and just made the best of the rest of our time here and ate elsewhere.
There are far better hotels in this area and we certainly would neve stay here again

It was quiet and calm in the hotel, low season, and the sleep quality was the best of any accommodation I have ever used in Spain! No noise from neighbouring rooms and very comfortable mattresses. A large bathroom with thoughtful toiletries, plentiful hot water, large bath towels and an easy to use hairdryer. All kept really clean by the hard working staff.
Breakfast was varied and seemed to improve during our stay with senior management showing up. Plenty to choose from. Just found the coffee disappointingly limited in choice and the hot water not hot enough for a decent cup of tea. The yogurt was thin and in tiny pots but there was a very good supply of fruit.
There is no entertainment in this hotel and that suited us just fine!! We don't like loud music or noisy people. If you appreciate a calm, quiet, well run hotel go to the Ilunion, we will happily return.

Arrived at this hotel with high exceptions due to the reviews regarding access for wheelchairs. We checked in and were greeted by a very nice receptionist who was very helpful. She was especially helpful when we discussed the parking as was her colleague. However, I had to explain the parking outside of the hotel in a wheelchair Bay would have cost me my car to be towed away, as my blue badge does not count in the EU countries. So, we opted to pay to park and their underground car park, which was fabulous. Once again, the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.
There are three lifts and easily fit a wheelchair in. The disabled rooms where spacious and clean. Didn’t have a balcony but that wasn’t important to us.
Rooms were cleaned daily. However, the cleaner didn’t come to the room till around 16:00 so we found it hard to chill in the room before going out in the evening. The cleaner also left puddles on the floor that could have been dangerous and took a long time to dry.
The outdoor pool was great and had a hoist for any disabled guest who would find it difficult to get into the pool.
The bar downstairs was fine. However, if you order a drink, please keep your receipt as they do make mistakes and can be quite abrupt when you have paid, and they suggest you haven’t. Found them rude. But would take it away from the hotel as a whole. Its situated directly over the road to the beach so great location.
Overall, it was a great stay, good value for money and would recommend staying her. especially for disabled travellers.

The hotel has a nice aesthetic and is certainly very nice, with a careful decor and well maintained common areas. However, as for the price/quality ratio, it leaves much to be desired. The rooms, although comfortable, do not justify the high cost, especially considering the service, which was quite irregular. The staff, although correct, lacks the warmth we expected in a hotel in this category.
Another aspect that disappointed us was the gastronomic offer. Breakfast, although varied, did not stand out in quality, and compared to other hotels in the area, it was not worth the difference in price. In addition, there are many better options on the boardwalk, with more convenient locations and superior services for a similar or even lower cost.
In short, the hotel is nice, but does not compensate for what it costs. If you are looking for better value for money, there are much more attractive alternatives in the same area, with sea views and better service. I don't think we'll be back.

A very well located, well kept, clean hotel with a very trained staff to kindly cater to the staying tourists and there are many who speak different languages and we all have permanent demands and I always saw predisposition and a smile.
I highlight the scent of clean and scented on entry that accompanies the slogan and your concern for the rest of the guest. Perfume that is also present in the curtains of the rooms.
Very good action of inducing smell, sight, taste, pleasure of being.

Thanks for that, although it doesn't really answer my questions. I will contact the hotel directly.
No, but wonderful street entertainment on the square right next to the hotel most nights.
Sorry I didn't get to see the hotel due to ill health on the day of travel. I can tell you that I paid in advance for half board and they have refused to return the money for the food we didn't eat. Customer service was terrible despite my living in Spain for 20 years and speaking Spanish. Hope they give you better service.
