We spent the last night of our Southern Spain round trip in Maro in this hotel. Being 3* we did not expect much but room condition and furniture was dated back to the 70s. Probably not a single stroke of paint, or new furniture ever arrived after that time. The beds were small and uncomfortable. There was a kitchen-like feature...

Enjoyed a four-night break, with amazingly good weather, in mid-November. Room was basic, cleaned daily and fine (apart from grubby, old sofa). All staff were very amiable and professional with food being good with a number of locals using the bar/restaurant (including a bizarre group of local English Freemasons, who meet there once in a while). The village of Maro...

Stayed here with friends. Room was small. Beds like boards with springs felt through mattress. Building was across Street from main hotel. Damp mildew smell in hallways elevator and came through ac when turned on. Room appeared to eye to be clean, however despite daily visit by cleaning staff, tabletops not wiped, and teacups not cleaned etc. Staff pulled the...

Our travel agent found this, we would never have found it. We stayed for a week and though the room was basic - we stayed in the building opposite the main hotel it was clean and serviced daily. We found the staff helpful & pleasant. The plus point for us was the Menu del Dia at 9 euros it's excellent...

Nice hotel in a nice location. The rooms are really large and comfortable. BUT: internet does not work in the rooms, as the signal is too weak. You have to go the receptio for a decent connection. The staff at the reception is rather rude and not helpful. We flagged a problem with the flush of the toilet and got...

I recently stayed here with my husband and 12 year old son. We had a room with three beds which was OK. There was a small balcony which we sat out on while my son went to sleep. There were no clothes hangers & unfortunately I 'd forgotten to pack any. The air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was a...

We had a few nights stay here on a short cheapie break away. The room was clean and comfortable and tidied everyday. Not noisy and not charged extra for air con. The restaurant has their €9 set menu or a full menu with lots of options. Some vegan and veggie options, sangria and a terrace outside - can't really go...

The nine-euro set lunch is excellent value for money. The food is good and service friendly. A good choice if you are eg. visitting the caves. The set lunch is a multiple choice from about six choises for the starter and the main course, and three for dessert. We had three different starters and two main courses and enjoyed them...

The menu of the day at 9 euros is highly recommended. We called in after walking in the hills and were surprised at the value for money. You get 3 courses and a good range of dishes from the Menu del Dia. Drinks are also competitively priced.
