Went for Valentine's Day treat with my wife. Room an banks of the stream running past the hotel, was basic, but very comfortable. Staff and meals all excellent. We were able to take our young dog with us and the site was perfect for him too. Barman didn't know how to make the cocktail my wife wanted, but his colleague...

Really relaxed and homely environment. This was our second stay. We booked a superior room again which was in the courtyard. We requested to be moved to the main hotel as I wanted a room with a bath. The staff were very accommodating and friendly Our room was lovely and spacious with just the right amount of authentic charm. Loved...

Stayed here on a Friday night. Ladies on reception were friendly and helpful. Our room (William and Mary) was across the courtyard, it was large, clean and very comfortable. Bathroom was also also clean. Our room was plenty warm enough and had a large window overlooking the courtyard. We were the only people eating in the restaurant that evening (7pm)...

We stayed for one night, got a good deal and were really looking forward to the stay. The check in was swift and very friendly. They have a good selection on the menu as well as a saver menu which is really good value! The only down side is that it's very popular and being...

The rooms are tastefully decorated however the ones in the actual public house can be a little noisy from the road just outside and the...
