I honestly don’t know where to start! I don’t normally leave reviews but I couldn’t not after staying here. The hotel is so dated and in such a poor state of repair. The rooms are so grubby and old fashioned. We had two rooms and both were the same so definitely not a one off. There was no hand soap in the disnpensers in the bathrooms, the hot water didn’t work, the toilet roll holder was broken, the towel rail was full or rust. The bathroom tiles were broken, any that had been replace were mismatched and so untidy! There were brown dirty marks all over the walls, I dread to think what they were! The pool and “grounds” advertised on the website were far removed from what is actually there. It clearly was a lovely hotel at some point, but that was obviously a very long time ago!! No food either as they have decided not to open the restaurant, no explanation. I honestly cannot believe the amount of money we had to pay to stay at this poor excuse of a “hotel”.

Old dirty and a total waste of money. Despite Covid there is no excuse for the dirty state of the room. Dirty carpet, stained sheets, stained and dirty toilet, rusty shower rail, lose taps. More wild life crawling around inside than there was outside. Disgusting No staff available either during the day or on check out to discuss our issues. Letter of complaint sent which was totally ignored, they surely can not hide in denial all of the time? Lazy approach to their business

Arrived at Whoop Hall and given the key to our room. Went to room which had a lovely four poster bed and was very dated but spacious. However had no shower, toilet didn't flush properly and cold tap didn't work. So went and asked for a different room which was met by very grumpy management. Hotel had a poo but had to walk around car park in swimmers to get there and not allowed to use showers as not members then walk back around car park to get washed in room. Went to go for evening meal to be told not serving food and bar shut no explanation no sorry but you can have breakfast in the morning. Come the morning after packing went for breakfast manager repied not doing it no sorry no explanation didn't even turn to face us had his head in his computer screen 😡. The whole experience was appealing from start to finish. As this place is quite well known the area especially for weeding i would expect friendliness upon arrival and explanations if things weren't going to plan. I would highly recommend people to give this pace a wide birth and if the management don't like being hoteliers leave.

Hotel was closed due to covid I have waited 6 months for a refund. Many excuses given phone calls and emails never answered customer service shocking. We cancelled one room due to covid but Hotel would not refund. It was booked on a no refund basis and paid in full one year before travelling. Be very careful what you pay for.

We booked Whoop Hall at very short notice - we were booked elsewhere before walking the 3 peaks but found out at the last minute our hotel was closed for renovation. Whoop Hall was the only place nearby with a room so I booked it although some of the reviews online are...interesting. It was easy to find and there was lots of parking. When I checked in, the lady on reception was great and our twin room (room 15) was clean, with nice beds and bedding. There was tea and coffee facilities which was great, as the kitchen is currently closed. Whoop Hall is pretty much what I'd expect for what we paid - no complaints. It is a little noisy with doors banging and noise from other rooms but again, not terrible. The couple in the room next door to us seemed to be having a *very* good time so good luck to them :-)
