We can only guess that there has been a change in personnel as our meal was disappointing and expensive and we will not be going back. The Specials Board was a let down and extremely expensive for the quality of food that was served. When asked had we enjoyed our meal the person we spoke to was not bothered. The...

Excellent weekend at the Barbon Inn. Friendly staff, lovely evening meals and fantastic breakfast. Will visit again in summer. Kirkby Lonsdale is a lovely place to visit with lots of lovely walks and scenery. We had a lovely time.

After a walk in Barbondale, we arrived just after 2 pm, Although the notice outside stated Meals served 12 -2pm we were offered a good selection of substantial bar snacks which we enjoyed. I had a roll containing two very tasty slices of beef served with a small basket of chips and enjoyed a pint of Golden Sheep beer. We...

Website deal. Great venue, we felt the Barbon Inn was a central stay for the Lakes and Yorkshire. Love Yorkshire. This is an old Inn, offering a cosy retreat after a busy day either walking or, exploring with coal fires and comfy sofas.. Many of the residents appeared to be returning guests which in my opinion, is a great recommendation....

We booked this B&B through a trip advisor offer as it was too cold to camp and it was a great little find. We went and did whernside but the only downside was couldn't check inn between 3-6pm so stayed in a pub in Kirby Lonsdale. Staff were friendly and food was good too, would stay again. The only problem,...

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at the Barbon Inn, celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary. We could not have been made to feel more welcome. The staff were superb, always making sure we were comfortable and had everything we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was cosy and the roaring log fire in the...

Unpretentious and warm atmosphere. Good food. Real country pub feel. Room small but comfortable. Very clean. Gardens a delight, even in March. Great location for walks and views of the Fells. Excellent value for money. Plumbing a little 17 th century but a trivial matter. It is after all a very old pub!

My parents visited The Barbon Inn during their honeymoon many years ago and so, during a trip to the Dales with my partner, I was excited to visit the Inn myself. Although I made a reservation with extremely short notice, the staff were very helpful and reserved us a table for 8.45 pm (despite food only being served until 9...

We have just returned from a 2 night stay here. From start to finish the staff are friendly and made us feel at home. Andy who works on the bar is the font of all knowledge, helpful with walks and tips of the area. The food is lovely. Breakfast served to your table and delivered hot and delicious. The rooms...
