What a great place! So tranquil and relaxing. Our cabin was spotless, well stocked and had brand new appliances. The property is very well maintained and so are the cabins. We will definitely come back for another long weekend of R and R and family fun!! Shout out to Marty the fishing guide!!!

Renting a boat at Stetsons was a disappointment to say the least. When we arrived the guy in the office was nice enough, the guy on the dock too. That is where it ended. After they bailed water out of our boats they told us it was because the water off of the roof. That could be true, but in our case it was not. We hit the water and 45 minutes or an hour later ish we were down river and I noticed water by my feet. Thinking it was probably just some they missed I bailed it and we kept fishing. Later on I noticed more water and by this time my feet were getting wet, I bailed more water. Too far to head back we took note and kept fishing. When we returned, early that day (because my feet were frozen) I told them their boat leaked. The rude gentleman blamed the plug and told me I should have returned the rental for another boat. That would have cost us an hour or two of fishing so we did not do that. He said we should have. I said if we would have done that it would have cost us time, so either way he should discount the rental. He did not, continued to blame the plug for coming loose. I have been running boats for 25 years and never had a plug come loose. So their error made for a bad day on the water and freezing cold feet the rest of the day.

Went to this trip for a business event and had a blast. Best fishing guide ever was Steve Lopez. Was knowledgeable and patient. Knew all the spots and got us a lot of fish. If you want a gray guide as for Steve Lopez.

We just made our 36th trip to Stetsons on the White. Our special thanks to Brenda, Charlie, and Josh for making this one of our best trips ever! Every year, this resort has made improvements to make their guests feel special. This year, I caught my personal best Brown Trout, weighing 18 pounds, measuring 28.5 inches long, and a 20 inch girth.

Cabins are very clean and has all of the utensils needed. Pool was clean. It appears the pool edges are in the process to be redone. Property grounds are well maintained. I fished from the jetty and caught 23 rainbows and two browns over three days all catch and release for me. Best time to fish is early morning or at low water release. Use powerbait orange, red, cream or white worms. I will stay there again.

Unbelievable these people are. We arrived today at 2:30pm and rented a boat for $150. They said we had to have it back by 5pm. We were about 100 yards from the dock at 5:05pm when Charles came out with his boat to tell us we signed a contract that we would be there by 5pm. He totally harassed us and was so unprofessional. I have been coming to the white river for 30 years and have never been treated with such disrespect. We were there to have a great time and this jerk ruined our experience. It was like he was on a power/control trip. Sir I do not know what you have going on in your personal life but apparently you are bringing it to work. Such a disappointment and disgrace to deal with someone that has no idea what customer service is all about. Never Ever will I go back to Stetson’s and I would recommend everyone not to ever stay there or rent a boat. Such a dissatisfied experience.

At the last minute my husband and I decided to have a weekend getaway. My husband booked a cabin and an all-day fishing trip. The cabins are nice and roomy and have decks that look out over the River. Our fishing trip was great- our guide was both friendly and patient. Josh at the front desk was super friendly and accommodating. We will be visiting again!!!

Excellent lodge, would give six stars if I could. Location--excellent. 15 minutes from town and a very large, very nice Wal-Mart. Location on the river is great. Nice, sloping bank access that's relatively safe (it's still a river though...) for kids, with a nice gravel bank. The current right at the lodge isn't all that strong compared to other places. The facilities are in great shape. I thought the carpet was brand new, but they told me it's years old--they just care for it all very well. The fishing right at the lodge is great--some of our best fish came from the bank at the lodge. The people are wonderful--very nice, very quick with advice. The boat rental is very nice to have, if you stay long it's nice to be able to fish different places. Boats are well maintained, they said they replace motors every 3 years and I believe it. Electric start, which is really nice drifting the river. If you damage a motor (which is likely to happen for first timers on the river), they are extremely reasonable about fees. This is one area I thought they could use to pad their bill, and take it from personal experience from someone who has a boat at home and knows the expense of them--they are extremely reasonable about it. Multiple guides with different options for fly, spin, bait fishing. The only thing I can think of to improve is I wish they had a mechanism to return the boats after 5 PM. Pay extra or something to be able to return them at sundown or so. When the evening hatch is on upriver 5:00 comes pretty early. If you are a hard-core big brown fisherman, especially from the bank, you may want to stay a bit further upriver, but there are browns here, one of our biggest came from the bank at the lodge. If the river's low it's hard to get to the catch & release area up by the dam, and if that's your preference you probably have more experience with the area and probably aren't reading reviews..... So many options for families or first time visitors who want to have options--the pool, playscape, swimming in the river (it's cold, yes!), fishing from bank, fishing from boat, fishing with a guide (fly, spin, bait, just tell them what you want)s, plus not a bad drive into town--make this an excellent place to stay. Pics are fish from the lodge.

Great resort! Charles was very accommodating and thorough with making and then changing our reservation Multiple times. The 2bedroom cabin was spacious, very well appointed, and clean. All you need to bring is shampoo, paper towels, and food. The free internet is fast. The tv has good choices of channels. The covered deck overlooking the river has very comfortable chairs and rockers. The grounds are very well kept and large enough to the point you never feel crowded by other visitors. If you want to book a guided fishing trip ask for James. He knows where the fish are and how to catch them. Bring cooking oil so you can fry up your dinner that night. I could go on but let it suffice to say Stetsons is worth every penny for quality and professionalism. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed at Stetson's for the first time as a family getaway and couldn't be more impressed. We have always stayed down the road but Steton's will be our spot going forward. The amenities are perfect - clean, well taken care of, accommodating!! They had everything you need to have a nice getaway. The staff is SO nice and helpful. We can't wait to come back - we booked another weekend while we were there!
