We had a private room booked for a small family celebration of a Silver Wedding Anniversary. There were 4 Coeliacs in a group of 13. We were well catered for; everyone had a fabulous meal and the staff were very attentive. The grounds were beautiful too.

I recently stayed here for one night as I had an early morning meeting nearby. This was a delightful break for me from "business-type" hotels when working and most guests were private groups, mostly middle-aged couples. The grounds are very attractive and the room I had (one of the higher categories) was very comfortable with a well-proportioned bathroom. I also...

Thank you for taking the trouble to report on your recent visit. I am so pleased that you were able to enjoy the Congham experience - definitely not your run of the mill business type hotel! The next time you have an early morning meeting I hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back again

Could not recommend enough, such a lovely afternoon tea. Staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked through the door and we were given options of where we wanted to take our afternoon tea. The service was great and the food delicious. Good choice of tea and lovely spread of sandwiches and cakes. Very relaxing afternoon had.

This really is the place to go for a perfect weekend. The setting is beautiful, the rooms are delightful and the staff are excellent. The food is first class and their gluten free catering was the best I have experienced. We are certainly going to stay there again and I would really recommend it to anyone wanting to treat themselves...

I have recently visited Congham Hall Hotel & Spa for an afternoon visit to a spa. It was booked by my friend who visited it before. I had a very relaxed afternoon of delicious lunch , eaten outside in the sunshine. Meal was very tasty and restaurant/hotel staff extremely helpful and attentive. Lunch was followed by a stay in a...

If you need to get away from the maddening crowds this is the place. Staff are polite and welcoming. There is a small spa and peaceful gardens. However if you want to explore the area you will need a car as the location is rural . Although everything is nice I do believe it is overpriced for many (city pricing)...

Thank you for taking the trouble to comment on your recent visit and I am delighted you found the staff "polite and welcoming". Our room rates start at £219 per night including a three course dinner from our a la carte menu, full English breakfast and VAT, which we believe offers great value. We are always full at weekends so...

I visited the restaurant of Congham Hall with an elderly friend.Only half an hour after leaving the Hotel I was not very well. Quickly followed by my elderly friend also having to use the bathroom rather quickly. She was poorly for a few days. We had both eaten the same choice. This sort of thing takes it out of an...

I am so sorry that both you and your friend were unwell shortly after a recent visit to Congham Hall. When you rang to inform us you spoke to Iona, our Senior Receptionist, who was absolutely horrified to learn you thought she was giggling on the phone. I can assure you that was not the case and indeed we take...

We knew we'd be in for a treat. A couple of days before arriving, a 'domestic emergency' resulted in requesting a change to our booking. This was handled swiftly and professionally and we arrived to a warm welcome and a guided tour of the hotel by one of the exceptional reception team. We were shown to our 'garden room' and...

Thank you so much for writing about your recent visit to celebrate your wife's birthday and I am glad she liked the little birthday gift. You describe what we always hope for namely a relaxing couple of days where we can look after you whilst you just relax and settle into "Congham life". We have been to Congham Hall many times over the past 20+ years, including 2 nights following our wedding and various birthday celebrations. Always loving the house and its situation, but frequently being disappointed with the food. Lunch today was our first visit this year, we had heard there was a new chef and he did not disappoint us or...

Thank you for taking the trouble to write about your recent lunch. I am so pleased that you enjoyed it. James O'Connor took over at the helm in the kitchen at the beginning of December and it is very gratifying to hear that news of his culinary efforts is starting to spread!

What a lovely report and thank you for taking the trouble to write it. We care passionately about giving our guests a great time, but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate it when our efforts are noticed. We do and it means a lot. Thank you!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled within the beautiful Norfolk countryside, Congham Hall is a privately owned Georgian manor house situated 20 minutes' drive from the sandy beaches of the North Norfolk coast. A variety of market towns, nature reserves and the Queen's Sandringham Estate are also within a short drive. Each individually designed bedroom is very spacious offering extremely comfortable king sized beds and picturesque views across the estate. The team of award winning chefs create dishes using a wide variety of vegetables and herbs from the estate served in the Orangery restaurant overlooking manicured lawns and glorious parkland. For something a little more informal, indulgent afternoon teas are served in the lounge next to the cosy log fire. Set within 30 acres of wonderful parkland and extensive gardens, Congham Hall also boasts a croquet lawn and tennis courts. Congham Hall's luxurious Secret Garden Spa is where you'll find a stunning 12 metre pool, sauna, steam room, bio-sauna as well as an outside hot tub. You may also choose to unwind with one of the relaxing and rejuvenating beauty and massage treatments which will restore body and mind and leave you feeling completely revived. ... more   less
