A small market town on the A11, Thetford is very handy for Norwich and the East, and Premier Inn Hotel Thetford puts everything in easy reach. From Norman castles to Newmarket Racecourse, there's plenty to see nearby, and some key business venues too. The outdoor scenes for Dad's Army were filmed in Thetford, and the Dad's Army Museum is well worth a visit while you're here. Or if you want to see a chart-topper, there are some great gigs at High Lodge Forest nearby. After a fabulous day out, come back to the hotel for lovely food at our restaurant and a great night's sleep in a comfy bed.

The Premier Inn Thetford Hotel garners appreciation for its cleanliness, with many guests enjoying the comfortable beds and tidy rooms. Despite some praise for the design, travelers often mention that the rooms could benefit from updates and enhanced amenities. The hotel's atmosphere is generally considered peaceful, but some guests feel that certain areas require attention to cleanliness. While the staff, including John and Charlie, earn kudos for their helpfulness, issues with slow service and restaurant experiences are noted. Amenities are well-regarded, although the lack of electric charging stations and Wi-Fi problems have been points of contention. Opinions on value are mixed, with some guests finding the food overpriced and the room quality not up to par with the cost.

John on reception was exceptional, extremely welcoming and friendly. We had a arrived a little before 3pm and dispite Premier Inns policy of a charge if you arrive early he didn’t insist on this because we had told him we needed to be somewhere else and didn’t have long and needed to drop our bags and go. It was refreshing to see someone able to give a bit of flexibility and not be a jobs-worth; we regularly stay at Premier Inns and with no loyalty schemes in place it nice to get a little back from time to time. Thank you John, your kindness was appreciated. Kind regards Lady Victoria 😀

Booked a family room to stay overnight ater a visit to Go Ape in Thetford Forest. Stay was reasonable, but there are pro-s and con's of this heotel. Pro's: very local to Thetford Forest which is a beautiful destination - room was spacey with adequate room for a family of four. Con's: this is clearly not a new Premier Inn; the hotel was in need of a lick of paint and the room itself didn't give the wow-factor (at all). There is no air conditioning (which is an expectation at Premier Inn's as far as I am concerned) and other reviews on here are testament to the fact that the warmer months make these rooms unbearably hot (just a fan stood in the corenr of the room). Equally, and this is a minor point, the shelf next to the double bed was broken meaning my glasses and mobile phone had to go on the floor while I slept (no charging sockets next to the bed either). The Whitbread pub next door (which is a seprate business) was nice, but equally dated with tables that were falling apart and chairs which were worn down to the foam inners showing through.

We stayed here the night before our wedding and it was all very lovely. The wow factor was how they put a bottle of prosecco and flowers in our rooms as they knew it was a wedding party staying. This was such a nice touch and really made us feel special

Nice accommodation with a good pub/restaurant attached to the venue. Parking was easy as well, with same level access to the reception area. The accommodation does not have a lift, so although it was not a problem for us, it's worth bearing this in mind if you have mobility problems and request a room on the ground floor.

The staff were brilliant. The room was clean and well presented. The extractor fan in the bathroom was deafening. It made having a relaxing shower impossible. The breakfast was great value with an enormous amount of choice. It was difficult to relax though as they had radio 2 blaring out like a disco at 8 am making conversation challenging and waking up an instantaneous rather gradual affair.

Just off the A11 and has a large car park and restaurant on site Quick check-in and off to the room on the ground floor quite a walk to the room but it was a nice double room with a view into the car park. The bed was very comfortable and clean as was the bathroom area. a/c was not working and it got very hot in the room. Food in the restaurant was ok and hot when it got to the table drinks were a good price. I am due back to this place in June with the family 2 nights will report my findings later

For the second year running, the 'hotel' side of Thetford Premier Inn was excellent but sadly was let down as soon as you walk into the bar/food area. Bar Service was absent for most of the time and slow when he was there. The breakfast was OK but evening meals were less than satisfactory. I was with a group of around 15 and none of us were impressed. The Thai veg curry with chicken added, looked like it had come out of the freezer on more than one occasion. Sorry to be so negative but the catering side of this establishment really does need looking at pretty seriously.

Charlie our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Service was great. Food was ok. Music was too load but when asked it was turned down immediately. The hotel room was very clean as normal unfortunately we were in the room on the top floor and the very last room, not their fault they were fully booked.

We appreciated the Nespresso machine for coffee. The Arpeggio capsules are good for a caffeine hit and the Vienna is more mellow as a lungo. The pub was closing at 10 (until February) so we made last orders and took the drinks up our room. The buffet English breakfast was warm not hot and the radio playing not just background music wasn’t really what we wanted to start the day. As newly refurbished rooms I wouldn’t have expected a towel rail to detach at one end.

hotel was good as have stayed in Premier inn several times at different locations but the pub let it down food wasn't the best as starter came out hot on one side of the plate as keep under the light and the mixed grill looked like the meat had been shared as chops hab been cut in half and made up with chips to fill the plate.
