We ate here yesterday. As it was mothers day I was offered a free glass on pink fizz even though it was just myself and my husband. We chose brie fritters and terrine to start with and chicken in a tarragon and cream sauce and a crab salad. All meals were very well presented and very tasty. The tarragon sauce...

We have stayed in your sister hotel in Brancaster and enjoyed both the accommodation and the food but we wanted somewhere closer to home for a Mother's Day Afternoon tea and thought we couldn't go wrong at the Crown. Sandwiches were fine, scones, cream and jam were lovely. Individually the two cakes and mini-tart were good but why did all...

Stayed here for two nights and what a wonderful time we had! The food was delicious, room was stunning and the staff all very helpful and friendly. If you're into gin, try to make your way through the list of 10 they stock and make sure you get your complimentary cream tea served between 4-5pm.

Went for a celebration lunch with my wife and a friend. Cosy atmosphere that had a dog-friendly room. Easy to book and provided an excellent meal after a lovely long morning walk by the sea - so it was well-earned!

Called in for a drink one Saturday afternoon. There was a private party on so some of the bar was sectioned off.The area that we sat in was full of character. We had a nice relaxing time out of the cold enjoying a lovely glass of wine!

Booked this place to eat this weekend a long time in advance hoping it was as good as the reviews! Definitely wasn't disappointed the food was amazing from starter to main and desert, can honestly say it was one of my top five meals with good tentative staff and service and not over the top prices. Highly recommend.

First of all I have never been a resident at the crown but on many occasions, particularly in the summer when my family rent a cottage nearby, I have used your facilities. I find the hotel to be clean and the bar and garden area to be comfortable and welcoming. Unfortunately the treatment I recieved recently has resulted in my...

With respect Amy, my member of staff who refused to serve you was acting 100 per cent correctly and in accordance with licensing laws. Those laws state that no drinks can be served to the public after certain times on certain days, unless they are residents of the hotel - ie people who are staying the night. That is the...

Great place but not as good as it could be.. I don't know what to say other than we had a good time but not a great time. Had a fun evening but food could've been better and the drinks were expensive.

I'll settle for being called a 'great place'. It's difficult for me to comment further as you aren't specific about how you feel our food could be improved. With regards to your comments about the price of our drinks, all I'd say is that they're comparable to other hotels in the north Norfolk area and our prices are clearly visible...

I've visited before and had a good meal but this restaurant has improved dramatically. The hotel was recently refurbished and the menu is now on a different level; very impressive and offering a great choice with excellent ingredients. The staff friendly, helpful and professional. Although we were a large party, the food was served promptly and all served at the...
