A really warm welcome awaited my husband and I when we arrived at 'The Cottage', Rushlake Green, the lovely home of Karen and Jim. Delightful B&B in their beautiful cottage. Lovely decor with antiques and charming object d'art. Local 15 Century Inn across the village Green which serves excellent food.

Idyllic setting on the green. Lovely cottage and room. Karen was very kind and gave us a 5 star service. We ate in the village pub and the meal was good. Very close for cycling on cuckoo trail or visiting observatory at Herstmonceaux.

The Cottage is a lovely house in a beautiful setting with very well appointed rooms. Karen and Jim are most welcoming and provide for a wonderfully relaxing stay - terrific breakfasts and lots of nice, small touches (such as a decanter of sherry in the room!).

Karen and Jim were great hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always cheerful and helpful. The house is charming and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds that we didn't want to leave but would then have forgone a huge varied breakfast, which would have been great pity. A terrific, quiet location which is close to many attractions. We hope...

My wife, 2 year old son and I stayed here for a wedding. Karen's fantastic hospitality always surprises; be it the amazing home made Aga cooked breakfast, her creating a special breakfast for our son or her insisting on giving us a bottle of wine for dinner the night before. The bed was very comfy, with room in the bedroom...

If you are staying in this area, look no further. I have never put finger to key before but was so impressed with this beautiful cottage that I felt compelled. As I sit here in the sunshine looking out across a beautiful garden waiting to go to a wedding, I realise how lucky we were to have found this delightful...

Had lovely time in the home of Karen Cook (aplty named according to our full English!) a perfect host. Had a wonderful time in quiet picturesque rushlake green for girls weekend away, gave us time and peace to catch up in the countryside setting. Beautiful rooms, lovely scenery and wonderful memories.

What a wonderful stay in tranquil Rushlake Green, in an absolutely beautiful cottage set on the gorgeous green itself. Karen Cook and her lovely welcoming family were such wonderful hosts, helping us to explore the local area and point us in the right direction for attractions like Brighton seaside and Glyndebourne opera house. Lovely pubs nearby for true country pub...
