This was a lovely b&b in a really ancient building. The room was well-appointed with a surprise roof-top terrace. Wifi was adequate. Breakfast was very comprehensive and excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We have visited this friendly pub on several occasions over the years and can honestly say the food and service are always of a very high standard. On this occasion, as we have in the past, we decided to dine here - amazing!! We had the famous Golden Lion fish pie (loaded with prawns, salmon, white fish and topped with...

The Sunday lunch was absolutely superb. Lots of meat, great choice of veg, my favourite, Yorkshire pub, roast potatoes and delicious gravy. Just make sure that you book in advance so you aren't disappointed!

Visited the Golden Lion again after four years. Their Seafood Pie and Steak and Ale Pie are still excellent. Very busy on Saturday night so best reserve a table. Friendly atmosphere. Recommend the local beer "Windjammer".

We have been coming to Padstow for a few years and twice been recommended this pub so we thought time to try it out for Sunday Lunch and it did not disappoint. Friendly welcome we had booked a table but decided to sit in the bar which was warm and had more atmosphere. Its a real local, not that pretty...

Came in for lunch the other day. The staff were very offhand and seemed disinterested so we left. We found somewhere else to eat in Padstow with friendly, welcoming staff. I am sure the food is fine but you do need to make people feel welcome.

I went with a group of friends for dinner at this pub and was disappointed with the food, as were most of my companions. The fish pie, which I had heard was legendary, was mostly mashed potato and lacked seasoning so didn't really taste of anything. I had steak and ale pie which was, again, very meadiocre - again it...

We have been to many of the restaurants in Padstow and this is one of the last we have been to, and maybe one of the best. We had booked four months ago and arrived to a warm welcome. Having ordered drinks from the bar we then had whitebait between us, two portions for four people and a main course...
