From the moment we arrived it was simply wonderful. It is not the easiest place to describe. Shabby Chic, a little up market. You really do go into a mode of relaxation upon arrival. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather which I'm sure helped make our stay exceptional. Enjoying a sun lounger and drink on the lawn. Flatbreads cooked...

The drive up the long winding road to The Pig is stunning, rolling hills and beautiful trees, the entrance is equally impressive. We are met by a friendly member of staff with a brolly as its raining. The restaurant is a lovely space and our expectations were high. But there it stops. The food is very disappointing, meat and chips...

A stunning approach to the pig in a peaceful countryside setting 😀 We were welcomed by very attentive staff ,who were more than willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Our room was beyond our expectations and had a lot of rustic charm, including music playing on our arrival. No uht here yippee, jugs of fresh...

We have been visiting this establishment for many years and were worried that it might lose its shabby chic charm when it became part of The Pig chain. Today we were taken there for lunch by friends, it was the first visit since the take over for all of us. It was the 1st August a typically English Summers day,...

Stayed here as a family of 4 (two young children) for 4 nights in July and we all loved it! We had stayed at The Pig Brockenhurst before so knew what to expect in terms of style but on arrival I felt The Pig Combe was even better than my expectations. Room 23 family room was lovely and provided the...

We went for lunch and were completely wowed by the dining room! So different and unusual, very artistic and clever. Surrounded by herbs, coloured glasses, random cutlery and china, inspired! The young staff were lovely and well trained, the food was delicious and we ate far too much. Retired afterwards for coffee by the bar which is very cool, sat...

The place is beautiful there is no doubt about that, but this is a review based purely on our restaurant experience. Unfortunately the tables are too small, crowded, far too many people in one room which made the restaurant very hot and very noisy. There was food obviously from earlier on in the day on the floor under our table...

Another huge success for the Pig chain. We both feel this is the best so far (which is really saying something). Even though it has only recently opened it feels as if it has been bedded in for years. The setting is as exquisite as an English country hotel can have. The views are bucolic and heart lifting. The hotel...

My Mum, bless her, always told me that if you can't say something nice about someone then don't say anything at all. So I'll start with the nice things. The makeover of Combe House is stunning. My friends and I all agreed that the quirky, shabby chic decor, made a great difference to the rather stuffy country house 'thing' that...

Went for an evening meal and was very impressed by the renovation of what was Coombe House. The staff were very pleasant and made you feel special. The restaurant was busy and efficiently run. The menu was explained to you and suggestions were given. Our meal was exceptional...flavoursome and the portions were generous. We left feeling that we are looking...
