We had the room that is below the main house and opens onto the garden. It is delightful. Smart, clean, thoughtful (switches illuminated to find easily in the dark), glass of wine as welcome. Hosts were both friendly and breakfast was good. Only negative was the bathroom - too low for a stand up shower so only a bath with... More

We found the Thatch to be a very nice & very friendly B & B. When we arrived we were made most welcome by Wendy & Frank the proprietors . The rooms were well decorated very clean & very comfortable . The breakfasts were very good & we were able to order our choices daily. Although the Thatch is a... More

I stayed here at the beginning of my 433 mile walk to the North Sea. It was quaint and charming. The hosts were super friendly and would go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The room was clean, quaintly decorated and had all the amenities one would want or need.

Thatch is a beautiful, thatched, hexagonal Arts & Crafts house, set on a main road just up from the the centre of Lyme Regis. Wendy & Frank, the owners are really lovely, welcoming & made our two night stay very pleasant. They provided us with everything we needed & we stayed in Langdon room which is beautiful & from one... Having family living in Lyme we normally have no need for a B&B but this year we decided to stay in a B&B and Thatch was just what we needed. I checked the reviews before booking and everything was exactly as mentioned in the reviews. Wendy and Frank were perfect hosts and gave us a very friendly welcome and stay,... More

We were recently visiting some friends who were staying in Lyme Regis and needed to book an overnight stay. We chose Thatch having read the very positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. Frank and Wendy were most welcoming. The room was very pleasant, comfortable and well appointed, they really have thought of everything. Nice touches included a... More

My wife and 3 year old stayed here for three nights over the weekend. We were given the 'Under Thatch' room by the garden which has its own separate entrance. The owners Wendy and Frank gave us a very warm welcome. They were helpful and ensured our entire stay was comfortable. They were very accommodating to our little boy, who... More

I wondered about whether a B&B should really attain 5/5 ratings but, after consideration, found this place to be faultless and thus wholly deserving. A quaint, well-presented house about 5-10mins walk from the town front, it is the epitome of a good British seaside B&B. Our room was very nice as was the bathroom, with a lovely view onto the... My wife and I were hiking the SWC Path recently. We stayed here and the owners were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the room under the house which was very quaint and fun. My wife thought she smelled a bit of mold, but I didn't. A long walk up hill from town center!
