Last minute booking ,expensive for 1 nights stay in a bed and breakfast(£120) out of season-upgraded for a 'so called ' sea view room -which was correct if you had binoculors, and really views over building opposite.Web site implies that it is a nominal walk to the sea -fine going down but steep hill .Breakfast was good and service also.... Good location, breakfast very nice, good choice of menu & freshly cooked food. Unfortunately the single room I was allocated left a lot to be desired, literally only just about big enough for a single bed, barely room to open the shower 'room' door & was made to feel uncomfortable when I complained that the window blind kept falling down... Family run accommodation. Very accommodating. Great breakfast. Very quiet and an easy walk from the town centre. Easy parking (which is essential in Lyme). Beautiful gardens. Very old building with its original water pump! We would make this our preferred place of stay next time we are in Lyme.

Arrived at the conveniently located hotel and parked in the free parking at the rear. Nice welcome from the owner who recommended places to eat and see during our stay. Lovely appointed room with sea views. We were able to walk into town, to the beach or to dinner, which was great. Comfortable bed, good shower, ample clothes storage and... More

We booked for one night and ended up staying for two. It was a very easy going relaxing atmosphere which made us feel at home. There's a good hill walk to get back to the hotel, but we enjoyed walking our dinner off so this was no problem to us.. in fact we enjoyed it, but its not for anyone... More

A very warm welcome from our hosts. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed meeting other guests in the lounge area. If you are reading this Ann and Martin we hope you had a safe journey home. The Kersbrook is ideally situated in Lyme Regis, with the added bonus of parking. It's a short walk down to the... More

I loved this hotel for its charm and quirkiness. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable with fluffy towels and an excellent shower. Our little outside "patio" was slightly strange but added to the individuality of the place. If bland is what you are looking for, then perhaps this is not for you. The breakfast, as other people have... More

A charming property typical of its year of build. Some of the reviews here seem harsh. Buildings 200 years old have idiosyncrasies and that adds to the charm. If you want to have perfect corners, stay in a Travelodge. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was good and filled all day. I have seen criticisms of... More

I was really looking forward to the stay in the "characterful" cottage, and the pictures on the site made it look really nice, if somewhat quaint. However the reality was more disappointing. The room was small for a double, and didn't seem to be very clean. The "seating area" turned out to be one very small chair in the corner... More

The accommodation is at the top of a long steep hill. We had a Superior Seaview Room. The room overlooked a Care Home and medical centre with a glimpse of the sea. Cleanliness was not top priorities. The rooms were not properly serviced during our stay unless you call slinging the bedding over and partially replenishing the tea tray. The... More
