Very friendly, very clean, excellent breakfast and a delightful lady who runs this B&B. You have to travel ten minutes by car, taxi in order to have evening meal, but the two pubs nearby are also nice. I would thoroughly recommend staying here, really pleasant place.

We found this on Tripadvisor whilst researching somewhere to stay whilst visiting family in Whittlesford. We love the area and it's very close to Audley End. We got hopelessly lost (our fault)trying to find it, despite Diana standing in the road ready to flag us down! The room was really cosy, with lots of character, a nice contrast to typical hotel...

Our stay here was great fun! Two couples, we were looking for accommodation near Saffron Walden as we were attending a family celebration, and we came across reviews for the Chaff House via Trip Advisor when everything else in the area seemed to be booked up for Saturday night. What a lovely surprise - a well designed barn conversion with...

I stayed here for a friends wedding in the field opposite and the friend booked the room for me. Wasn't expecting much as it was just somewhere to stumble in the wee small hours. But this little gem blew me away. Lovely little rooms with exposed beams and access to a little kitchen. The lovely Mrs Duke had provided some...

Picked this hotel as somewhere a bit different to stay whilst working away in Saffron Walden. Very convenient for Saffron Walden and very pleasant. The rooms are in the converted barn. Mine shared a kitchen with next door and private bathroom. Incredibly clean. Owner is very friendly and as sat nav struggles to pinpoint it was very accomodating about popping...

Only stayed the one night (concert at Audley end) in this super barn coversion. Allthough it could do with an update it was a different B/B to the usual. Watch your head on both the entrance and bathroom door. Nicely located for lots to see and do. Breakfast was excellent.

I was travelling from Stansted in the small hours and needed to drop my dogs off at a kennel so was looking for somewhere near the airport but not right on top of it. It IS hard to find - the postcode covers the whole village, but I phoned and explained my plight and Diana came and stood in the...
