We stayed for a night, as a treat to ourselves, as a stopover on our way up north the day prior to Christmas Eve. We were not disappointed! Roaring log fires in the bar, friendly staff, beautifully decorated, and a gorgeous, comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious. The perfect indulgent break in the run up to Christmas. Pricey, but a stay...

Arrived at the hotel on a drizzly Feb afternoon to be greeted by a warm welcome and a warm fire in the reception/bar. We had room 9 (one of the excellent rooms) and I have to say it was as described - excellent. Beautifully decorated and really well furnished. The bed was so comfy we asked for details of the...

The Wheatsheaf has great character and excellent food, having had devilled kidneys for breakfast l have decided to start cooking them once again at home. Arriving during the afternoon we found that the pub was packed with people eating Sunday lunch, During the evening the atmosphere was less hectic, the staff were pleasant and considerate. I had asked for a room...

After a bruising week we escaped work early, longing to arrive in Northleach. We stepped out of the cold winter’s drizzle into the beautiful Wheatsheaf to be welcomed by two things. First, a roaring fire. That was a big tick. The second was a member of staff sitting on a stool at the bar, his entire upper body prostrate on...

The staff, service, food and ambience are wonderful and we ate breakfast and dinner there for 3 days and were really pleased with meal. However the rooms are just not value for money - £250 a night (incl contintental breakfast only) - they provide 3 hangers and one hook for storing clothes (no cupboards, drawers or shelves) meant we had...

We've just returned from having a 3 night stay in The Wheatsheaf and it's a perfect place to chill . We upgraded rooms on arrival as the 1st room was a little to small for 3 nights during winter. Our highlight was the amazing food, great menu, very well cooked . Breakfast was especially good with a huge choice. Sadly...

When we walked in for Sunday lunch my heart sank. The place was packed, which in many places means poor food or service (or both). Not at The Wheatsheaf, though. Although the staff were clearly rushed off their feet they could not have been more helpful and attentive. As for the food - it was served swiftly with none of...

The staff at The Wheatsheaf went beyond the call of duty to ensure that our stay was the best it could be. The service was impeccable, the food delicious and our rooms were perfect. We couldn't recommend it more. Thank you!

We spent two nights at The Wheatsheaf Inn, in Northleach which is very well situated for visiting nearby towns such as Chipping Campden, Stow, Bourton-on-the-water etc. Overall our stay was lovely. The food in the restaurant both at breakfast and in the evenings was of very high quality. They did run out of a couple of dishes on our first...
