We had a room overlooking the market square, so we were able to see the racehorses setting off for the gallops each morning. The brasseries was reasonable prices, and the food very good quality, There's a core menu and a couple of daily specials. There's a good range of hand pulled beers, of which my favourite is Semer Water, a...

Very friendly staff. We had a superior room overlooking the square and the castle and it was lovely watching the racehorses go by in the morning on the way to the gallops. The room was very nicely furnished and very comfortable. We had an evening meal and breakfast and the food and service was excellent. Would highly recommend "The White...

We drove past the White Swan as we were on our way to local attraction and on first glance it looked rather run down and tired. We had a drink in lovely pub over road and as weather great sat outside looking at the White Swan. It certainly did need TLC. We crossed road just after three to find another...

Arrived a little early and were told to come back at 3.00pm - so we found another establishment to have a drink. We paid extra for a "superior" room, which on the whole was ok, very tired furniture/decor but nice window overlooking the square. Our friends room which was a standard was tiny and the bed unsuitable. May as well...

We spent two nights at this traditional hotel, which has a cosy bar, with log burner and a pleasant bistro style restaurant serving good food in large portions, accompanied by decent wines. The staff are very helpful and meals are balanced, good quality and cooked to order. The room we stayed in (12) could have been better - the shower...

We visited Friday 5th May about 19:30 and it was soooo busy with a lively and lovely atmosphere. We hadn't booked and enjoyed a drink in one of the quieter bar areas until a table was available within 20 minutes. Don't know if the staff are on a rota but those on duty this particular night were fabulous- really! Pleasant,...

Stayed for one night only but found it to be excellent. The room was cosy with first rate facilities. We dined in the brasserie and have to say the food was extremely good and cooked to perfection. Also the service was courteous and unhurried. If you are in the vicinity and are looking for somewhere to stay then look no...

Stayed here on a B&B deal, Room was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. Had dinner on the first night which was very good and the breakfast was OK but no continental option, just cereal and toast. Staff very polite and helpful, the only thing that lets this hotel down is some attention to detail i.e. the paintwork needs...
