This is a friendly place to eat with plenty of choice on the menu complimented by a good choice of beers. The food was good, good size portion and good service. There was a good wine list. The prices were very reasonable.

We stayed two nights in Almouth and first night tried The Sun Inn for meal. It was steak night so they very busy. It was a great friendly atmosphere and staff were excellent. So was the food. Dogs and children were welcomed.

This pub is well recommended. Was busy when we arrived at 3pm and w receiced a warm welcome before being served a fine Sunday lunch. Hand pulled beer tasted great. Nice atmosphere. Family friendly. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Nicely decorated room.

We ate here for Sunday lunch - delicious - and on the curry night, as well as having the odd drink or two. There was always a warm welcome. The dog was allowed in the bar. The fire was fake but didn't detract from the atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.

Staying in Alnmouth for the week and decided to visit the Sun Inn for Sunday lunch. We both had the roast pork and were not disappointed. Excellent meat and a great selection of accompaniments. Also the soup of the day was delicious. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. On a very slight downside the Golden Sheep ale has been better.

Nice pub very nice staff. But yet again I was served a chicken roast dinner with beef gravy !!! This happens often in pubs around Northumberland. A lot of people including myself do not eat red meat so why would we want our dinner swimming in red meat gravy ugh horrible. It should be stated on the menu chicken dinners...

Spent a long weekend in Alnmouth and visited the Sun Inn three times. Really nice atmosphere and friendly, cheerful staff. Good selection of beers and wines and a great place to bring your dog. My only negative comment would be that there is clearly a lot of frozen food used in the menu. Fresh would be so much nicer!

Stopped in Alnmouth for lunch and was very happy to find the Sun Inn, warm and cosy on a chilly day, beautifully decorated. The bar staff were so friendly and welcoming. We just had a bar snack but this was presented well, and was extremely tasty and good value for money. Was nice to find somewhere on a Sunday that...

Stopped after a lovely morning walk along Alnmouth beach. Very welcoming warm cozy pub. Fires where lit & our dog Angus was welcomed even though he was wet & sandy. Lunch was simple but good quality & plenty of it. Beer was well kept. Decor was fresh & clean but homely & had a nice atmosphere.
