Had dinner here one night whilst staying in a local cottage.
Tried to book but they don't take bookings for non residents which meant we couldn't eat in the very nice bar which was full, so ate in the restaurant which was also a lovely...More
We come here once or twice a year and this visit coincided with the beer festival held at the nearby Red Lion
From arrival to departure the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Nice cosy bar with good food and a plentiful drink selection.
We stay (Golf Society) over the Road, in the Hope and Anchor, but attend the Sun Pie night and their Quiz Night/Curry night Wednesday and Thursday.
Landlord runs a good pub, with friendly staff and the food is the usual Northumberland 'Plenty'..basic food but well...More
