We have just returned from an overnight stay at The Cafe, having had a 5 year gap since the last visit. We have been going to the Cafe for many years now, and have always had great visits, and tremendous food, and we did wonder if in the interim, things could have changed, especially reading some of the reviews. Well,...

The location of The Café at Porlock Weir is delightful and our bedroom window made the most of the views of Porlock Weir, Bossington Beach, Selworthy Beacon and across the channel to South Wales ....... lovely weather helped. The bedroom was huge and nicely done with a four poster bed. It's also a great location for exploring the surrounding area...

Nice little hotel. Could do with a makeover. Everything a tad bit old fashioned and beige. However rooms (size) and views certainly more than compensate. This is a great base for walking and general touring of the coast. Or just to while away a few hours drinking coffee and watching life go by what's not to love.

Booked a Travelzoo deal for pre-Xmas treat. What a great experience! Warm welcome on arrival; lovely spacious room with sea view across the Porlock Weir. Dinner and breakfast were simply superb. All locally sourced products expertly cooked. Will definitely return. Excellent.

Fab u lus lunch. A Travelzoo special that was such good value. A great choice in a lovely spacious dining room. Will definitely return and stay over. It was particularly nice to visit in the winter without the crowds.

Booked an overnight stay with some friends through Travelzoo...what a find! Dinner and breakfast were the best I've eaten for as long as I can remember. Room large and clean, the bed large and comfortable. The 2 ladies who served our food and looked after us were lovely. Well done "The Cafe", you get 10 out of 10!

We had a lunchtime deal on a Saturday for lunch for four. The 3 course meal from the table de'hote was excellent and served in a modern style which you may not expect from the outward appearance of the building. Service was generally good and overall a very good experience. The restaurant itself was only small but cosy and well...

From the outset, this two night half board break in October 2016 in association with Travelzoo, exceeded all expectations. Our room was spotlessly clean, large with a huge bed, sea view and more than adequate en-suite with shower. Our three course dinner on both nights was unbelievably delicious, courtesy of Andrew (Sarah's husband and chef extraordinaire) with 10/10 for quality,...
