My mother took us to Ockenden Manor 2 weeks ago for lunch to celebrate my father's birthday. We all had high expectations and were impressed by the lovely location and eager to taste the food in the 'award winning restaurant'. We chose the 6 course tasting menu and were quite shocked by the sub-standard dishes that we received. All of...

My little brother and his wife invited us to dine at the Manor last weekend...we were delighted to accept and tipped up at 6:30 for pre-dinner drinks...go for the G&T they are delightful...we were called to table after choosing the tasting menu and the accompanying wines chosen by the sommelier. The dining room is lovely, a great atmosphere the chairs...

I thoroughly enjoyed my Spa Day. I felt relaxed as soon as I walked in the staff were friendly and courteous. I arrived late for my first treatment because I was enjoying the outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi but the wonderful team re-arranged all my treatments for me with a lovely member of staff called Alice K. Thank you all...

We wanted somewhere special to celebrate our 10th anniversary and chose Ockenden Manor for an overnight spa break and were not disappointed. The rooms have names and we stayed in room Luke on the first floor. It was well appointed in fairly neutral decor and antique pieces of furniture. The rain head shower over the bath was great and the...

This hotel was a great find - booked a last minute spa getaway from London for 1 night. We stayed in the room "Emma" which was fine for a night (not much of a view but it was dark so who cares!) Hotel staff were very friendly and always helpful - much appreciated them posting something back to me that...

I took my fiend for lunch here for a special treat and was very disappointed. It was not busy, I think there were only another three tables occupied. I know some people like the quiet but it was like having lunch in a library...... no atmosphere, some background music would have made a big difference. I ordered fish and my...

Spa is warm welcoming and has good facilities. The treatments are good too. Occasionally it can feel a tad claustrophobic with the number of people. Hotel is nice too with good service and some nice pubs nearby.

My friend and I went for a spa afternoon, with a cream tea after, the spa was a great surprise as I have been to many over the years all over the country and this did not disappoint, it was away from the main hotel, which was great and a true SPA, you also had everything included, from robes, flip flops...

Thank you for choosing Ockenden Manor for your Spa day, and I am delighted you had such a wonderful time. In response to comments we are in the process of adding more loungers within the pool area. I am sorry that the steam room was not working unfortunately we have been awaiting a specialist part to arrive as we use...

We've just returned from a lovely Spa break at Ockenden Manor to celebrate my wife's birthday. The hotel, spa and restaurant are all fantastic. We especially liked the juxtaposition between the Elizabethan Manor House which serves as the hotel and the modern zinc, copper and glass spa which overlooks the Sussex countryside. We especially enjoyed sitting in the outdoor hot-tub...

Thank you for choosing Ockenden to celebrate your wife’s birthday. I am delighted that you like the juxtaposition between the two buildings. I have passed your kind comments about the team on to them. I am also looking into the issue with the spa and I am sorry about this. This should not happen as we operate a 15 minute...

Upon arrival there was no one to greet us and no clear reception. Eventually a lady came out and asked us if she could help. We told her we had booked an afternoon tea, but she could find no record of our booking. We had booked via email as we wanted to check we could take our one year old...
