We just managed a night at Newton Stewart/Minnigaff on our way up north to start a 2 week cycle tour of Scotland. This is a traditional village hostel but a shear delight to stay in!! The 4 of us shared a room together which was both cleann and comfortable. Shared kitchen and dining area were spotless - the Warden clearly...

I stayed here last week and right from the outset the place was lovely. It is a school building that is converted where there are 2 male 2 female bedrooms, a kitchen and a dining/lounge area. It has a TV and plenty of reading material. There are laundry and bike storing facillities. There is plenty of parking also. The location...

Stayed here with my partner after bailing on the idea of camping and mountain biking! The guy who ran it was very friendly and helpful with local advice, it was incredibly convenient for the Kirroughtree trail. We got a deal on a four bedded bunk room and we were very happy with the room. Only downside of the place being...

Typical SYHA hostel, with no unpleasant surprises or fancy frills. Clean and well maintained, friendly staff and very well located if you wish to explore Dumfries and Galloway. The rooms are quiet and same sex dorms. You can book a room for a group or large party anytime or the whole hostel out of season. We would be happy to...
