About 20 of us had a 3 course meal at this hotel. The food, although pre-booked, was good and well presented. However the room was dull and boring, and a bit chilly until a portable heater was moved nearer. Rather sad that we were sitting at tables set in a long line - it would have been more friendly even...

Going to rack and ruin, unfortunately it is the only pub in the village. As a centre piece of Port William it's shameful, more so as the staff behind the bar were friendly and welcoming. Investment is needed to attract tourists to area

This hotel does need work on it, it is shabby and dated. It needs a better selection of beer and food also. Having said that we ate there twice and couldn't complain, the food was good and inexpensive. The staff were very good an along with the locals made us fell very welcome.

This hotel is a typical "don't judge a book by its cover" hotel. From the outside it might look a bit dated, but the room we stayed in was fantastic. Very spacious with a large bed and also a spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower. It was all very clean too. The diner room was also a bit dated,...

I stayed for one night the rooms are very outdated but in no way dirty, I think these are very unfair reviews. My room was a double room it was clean however it was needing a lot of maintenance, old curtain rails broken, sink plugs broken wallpaper etc hanging off. There doesnt seem to be a maintenance man but the...

Nice wee place for a meal if you're camping nearby. Its not a fancy place by any means, but would certainly recommend the food. Fairly big portions. We tried scampi and steak pie and both were delicious.

Only advice is keep driving or go to a local b & b. Rooms are dirty with wallpaper hanging off the walls and badly stained bath and grubby showers. In desperate need off a total renovation. Such a shame for a lovely little village that the only bar is in such a state.

Went in with the aim of having a few drinks. The dining room that we sat in was filthy and we sat and listened to the only other person in the room eating their dinner the only sound was the clink of the cutlery. The carpet made you feel sick full of stains and sticky patches. Ladies toilet pipes were...

Myself and 9 friends stayed here for a night on a motorcycling trip. Yes a few things could do with repairing etc but it's not £200 a night so stop moaning. The people here were very friendly and made you feel very welcome. Even the locals took time out to come over and chat to us . Breakfast was amazing...
