Stayed at The Stables for a night on our honeymoon/road-trip to Scotland, as it was fairly near my uncle's farm. The place was spotless, tastefully decorated and furnished, very comfortable and the service was excellent and friendly. Cannot recommend more highly. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

Immaculate guest house in a very quiet location. En-suite spotless, providing luxurious toiletries. Jacqui is a gem and as previous reviews have said she gives all a very warm welcome. Breakfast was beautiful... I had the scrambled egg with smoked salmon which was faultless. The big question ..."Would I stay here again?"..Yes, yes, yes!

We booked this as a last minute booking as we needed to be in the area. Jacqui was the loveliest host and made us very comfortable and welcome. The rooms were very comfy and quiet with good facilities and breakfast was a great selection and of a very high standard. A great place to stay which I would not hesitate...

Warm welcome, clean spotless room. Great breakfast - sets you up for the day. Ideal location for exploring the area. Would revisit anytime. Every B&B should be like this. Great way to start a touring holiday.

Stayed recently for just one night ( 4 senior citizens) - pity we could not remain longer ! Excellent accommodation, spotlessly clean and Jacqui a most pleasant and informative hostess. Large choice of breakfast served in the light and airy conservatory topped off the visit. Would thoroughly recommend.

Owner Jacqui very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and local places to eat. The room was very clean and comfortable and Wi Fi reception was first class - not just in the visitors lounge where the router was situated but also in the bedroom. There was a good range of choice of food at breakfast and it was cooked...

My friend and I from Forfar, Angus attended the Wigtown Book Festival at the weekend. We booked the Stables Guest House in Newton Stewart from the Friday until the Sunday (25th September - 27th September). Jackie, the owner, made us very welcome. She could not do enough for us and was very helpful. Our twin room with ensuite was delightful,...
