I have now been going to Rowallan for about 8 years and I am treated like I am part of the family , always welcomed with a smile and a good old chat to see if myself and my family are doing well . The house and whichever room I stay in is always spotless and cannot find fault with...

Wonderful hospitality in a fantastic location, set in its own grounds but with easy access to the town. Ideal for a quiet getaway or as a base to explore the beautiful Dumfries and Galloway region. Well worth a visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Rowallan House. Julie was very friendly and welcoming, and had a great knowledge of the history of the house, as well as of the Newton Stewart area in general. Lovely breakfast served in the conservatory. We hope to go back soon .

Despite the large group of us, our hosts were tirelessly helpful and friendly and everyone of us enjoyed the stay. The rooms were generously sized, well equipped and very comfortable and clean. Rowallan House is B&B at its very best. We were warmly welcomed by the owner to this lovely, comfortable, spacious house where everything has been thought of for the comfort of the guests. The house is set in a large garden in a quiet street so there is no chance of having a disturbed night. We were visiting the Wigton...

A lovely place to stay, well placed for exploring the Galloway area. Rob and Julie the hosts are extremely hospitable and very friendly; the rooms are spacious and smart; the food good; the garden very pretty. The snooker room was a pleasant surprise! This was our second stay at Rowallan and we would certainly stay here again in the future....
