This was our second time at Sonesta Maho and it was my Birthdate week celebration. We got picked to have dinner with the General Manager, Karl who was very gracious and very accommodating. We had such a great time due to his wonderful and exceptional staff, most especially, Anna at the front desk who treated us like family. Felicia at...

So you want the good news or the bad news? I'll start with the good news, because the good news isn't much to deliver: The weather is perfect. There's beautiful ocean breeze and amazing views of planes landing and taking off. Nightlife is decent but the area is small so nightlife isn't plentiful. The natives are friendly for the most...

For the good, our good friend, supervisor Martin at "the point" is now in Chinese restaurant, Paulene , supervisor of food and beverages is as charming as ever. Shaq and Alfred on...

Friends of mine were staying there. I walked up to the front of the hotel to visit and the hotel security guard treated me like a criminal. She asked where was my wrist band. I explained I was to meet my friends in the lobby bar. She replied you cannot use the bar. I explained again that I was just...

Our ocean facing room was fantastic for views and was spotless. Fridge in the room was filled daily with a selection of alcohol and soft drinks. 5 minutes taxi ride away from St. Maarten International Airport and a 2 minute walk to the world famous Maho Beach make this a must for any aviation fan! Staff were very friendly and...

Such a fun experience! There are only a couple of big planes a day, so most of the time you can just relax and watch the smaller planes come in. The beach bar right on the beach has a schedule of the planes on a board so you can be prepared. When the big ones go out stand off to...

My fiance and I travelled to St Maarten for our 5 year anniversary in April 2017. This was our first time to the island so we had no idea what to expect. Both of us being Aviation Geeks, the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort was THE only hotel that we wanted to stay in! From the beginning of our holiday to...

My husband and I stayed at Sonesta Maho last March and it didn't disappoint us. It's a big resort with lots of dining options. Just make sure you book ahead for lunches and dinners in the specialty restaurants to be able to find a place. We never used the swimming pool, but instead the beach. The location is awesome for...

I read some of the reviews and decided to try it anyway. Yes it's close to the airport but it isn't that bad with the noise. From 2-4:30 on the average is when the commercial airline traffic happens, and if your out buy the pool it's not that bad.I stayed on the 8th floor, and the room looked freshly renovated.The...

It was ok as a caribbean citizen but the better treatment was given to tourist outside of the carribean because they tipp frequently...the time the restaurants offer services was unsatisfactory cause if you run late you turn back They over book the hotel that week when i was there we got our room late along with tourist as well.
