I stayed here with a friend in August, we hadn't booked anywhere and stumbled upon Birchgrove by absolute chance and how very lucky we were! In addition to the lovely breakfast offered and the welcoming owners it was truly the little touches that made it a wonderful stay (not to mention the dram waiting for us in our room). I...

If your coming to Ullapool, just book here, ignore the rest. Birchgrove really is a home from home. From the warm welcome, to the excellent rooms, the great breakfast, the simple touches like a wee dram in your room, but above all else, you will really feel like its a home from home. I am losing track of how often...

This is our third visit to Birchgrove and would return again and again. From the moment of arrival to your departure, everything is perfect. The rooms are modern, spacious and well equipped. Donna has made sure if you have forgotten anything, she certainly hasn't. Delicious breakfast with a great variety of choice. We would highly recommend staying at the Birchgrove, we're...

I have had the privilege of staying at this B+B several times over the last few years whilst up in Ullapool and I would never even contemplate going anywhere else. Mike and Donna (the owners) are hands down the most welcoming people I have ever met. Having stayed there several times I almost feel like family, so much so Donna...

I recently stayed at Birchgrove B&B for 1 night and it was nothing short of perfect. Very warm welcome from Donna on arrival and felt right at home throughout my stay. The room was very tastefully decorated and there were lots of little touches and charming details such as the bath robes and slippers that I was truly impressed with.The...

I have never stayed anywhere quite like it! There was nothing that was too much bother for Donna. She and her family really made us feel welcome in her home, part of the family almost! Gorgeous house completed with two cheeky (one cheekier than the other) and beautiful cats. I'll see you next year, Donna!

Donna (the landlady) was so very welcoming and helpful, she was such a nice person! it was raining when we arrived and she rushed out to our car with an umbrella. We had a lovely bedroom and shower with everything that you could need, including bathrobes and slippers - and a wee carafe of whisky! We had an excellent breakfast...

A super friendly welcome from Donna, the owner, to this B&B that has everything you could conceivably need! Apart from the expected hair dryer, drinks making facilities etc there was a TV/DVD player (and scores of movies in the corridor); spectacle repair kit; jumper ‘debobbler’; bottled water etc. There was even a small decanter of whiskey and a flask of...

We recently had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at Birchgrove, without a doubt it is the cleanest, most welcoming and well appointed B & B that we have ever visited. Donna is an absolute treasure, I had an accident on our way to Ullapool and sprained my shoulder. Donna made an appointment at the local GP's surgery for me,...
