We stayed here recently as a stopover before getting the ferry to Stornoway. Easy to find and located in a lovely setting. Basic but everything you need. There are two rooms with four bunks in each and a shared kitchen/diner in-between. Each room has its own bathroom. Very pleasant gardens, although the midges prevented us sitting outside. Short drive to...

The bunkhouse facilities are as described. However, the point is there is no internet available and we are not allowed to use the lounge either. If you are lucky, you can sit out on a sunny day. But since 6 out of 7 days it rains, there is nothing you can do. There is no mobile signal in the bunkhouse...

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you did not find the wifi service adequate. Admitedly it is not ideal that wifi/internet access can only be accessed outside the bunkhouse but this is something that I hope to remidy in the near future. As for mobile signal, this greatly depends on your network provider. In the highlands its not...

This Bunkhouse nestled away at the South end of Loch Broom, tucked away in a corner of the nearby Lael Forest is a delight... Fully equipped, with excellent amenities and an owner that cares about his business and his guests. Iain is a keen walker and has personal experience of the many local hills and mountains as well as those...

Iain (the proprietor) was very friendly and welcoming. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and breakfast was excellent using locally sourced ingredients and free range eggs from Iain`s own hens. I would highly recommend Forest Way to anyone looking for accommodation in the Ullapool area.

A great place to stay. Good facilities and comfortable beds. We started our week long cycle tour of Scotland here. Iain was very helpful and friendly. The place is in the middle of the countryside so make sure you have brought something with you to cook when you get there as there's no local shop within easy reach as far...

After a long day of driving the northern coast of Scotland, it was great to pull off of the road, park near in a nice garden, and then watch the sun set over the hills. Your host provided great and timely advice on great hill walks, and he will politely guide you to walks that are in line with your...

Great place to stop before we got the ferry to Isle of lewis. 5mins from ullapool. Iain was very welcoming and did us a great cooked breakfast before we left. Would have been happy to spend a few days here.

Thank you Maureen and Martin and good luck with the rest of your walk. All the best and hope the sun keeps shining.

I have stayed in both the bunkhouse and the B&B a number of times before. It is always nice to find a tidy place where your feel truly welcome. This place is easily accessible, and is ideally located for not only hillwalking, but also for lang distance walks like the Cape Wrath Trail.
