We have eaten here several times on our most recent visit to Ullapool and have enjoyed every meal. The bar area is warm and pleasant and the staff are really welcoming and helpful. the place is to be congratulated on its choice of vegetarian meals - more than in most other restaurants in town. The vegetarian sausages with mash served...

We were in the bar area as we had our dog, the food was very good and service was friendly. The prices we paid we believed to be very reasonable too. Would highly recommend the vegetarian sausage and mash!

Just back from a very pleasant overnight stay at the Argyll hotel. Made very welcome from the start and enjoyed a great meal by the fire on a cold February evening. Room was adequate for a one night stay, with a stunning view to wake up to over Loch Broom and beyond. Breakfast was good and quick to arrive so...

We stayed one night and loved the interior and small details in the room (an old radio which brought back childhood memories, and couch which reminded us of the decade we grey up etc.). The interior - including the bathroom - was clean and fresh (seem to have been updated recently, but not sure as I didn't ask). The bed...

Place is reasonably clean, nice friendly staff, quiet but it was low season. Many of the rooms have a lovely sea view by default. But I suggest that on refurbishment better quality mattresses should be acquired. The topper isn't quite thick enough to insulate you from the springs so it's a bit hard for me, though admittedly some people like...

Stayed here with my wife, for 2 nights in mid-January and were allocated a large, warm (electrically-heated) 'king-size' bedded room, on the top floor. This afforded beautiful views, over the the rooftops, onto Loch Broom and the mountains beyond. Room was well furnished & equipped, attractive to look at & the bed was very comfortable. Spacious, modern, en suite with an...

On walking up the stairs to our room on the first floor we were met by an overpowering smell that did not go away! It smelt like rotting drains! None of the electric heaters in any of the bathrooms worked, nor did the light above our sink! The whole place feels like it has been neglected and is badly needing...

This hotel is welcoming and has a lovely bar/lounge area with a gorgeous open fire. The breakfast was gorgeous and tasty with plenty to choose from. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. This hotels decor is a bit tired looking but after a busy season it has reason to be. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Great price and value...

My husband and I visiting from Dundee, stayed here for one night ( which it had been more!) The room we were given was large and beautifully decorated with an en suite bathroom. I especially loved the fact that it had a bookcase with various books for everyone's tastes. All the amenities in the room; tea/coffee ( I loved the...

Stopped for two nights at the Argyll Hotel, it was a little hard to find the car park as the signage isn't too great and you need to know prior that it's the fire door at the back you need to enter with luggage - Knock if it's not open, people will hear! All in all it wasn't too bad,...
