An independent hostel run by Rauri. Eclectic mix of furniture and well presented kitchen/ bedrooms (4 bunks), showers (2 off). Rauri was a great host and it was a pleasure to stay at his bunkhouse. Its pained red and you'll see it to your right as you get off the ferry. Its about half a mile or so to the...

We spent a night here due to an heavy storm, and we had a really lovely experience. Rooms are clean and the common room is simply fantastic and so picturesque! Fresh eggs every morning from the neighbor! Unfortunately no wifi access.

At £22.50, it was one of the most expensive hostels I've stayed it, but was not worth the extra few pounds. The room I was above the kitchen/common room area in had paper-thin walls and had air-vents which meant that any noise from the kitchen/common room area came right into my room, waking me up early when people got in....

We stayed here as we couldn't find a b and b in Leverburgh. The rate for a bed is certainly much cheaper than a b and b. It is a quirky place and has a fantastic view. You'll meet interesting people there. If you need a b and b this isn't for you. While the beds are comfy, it is...

We stayed here for one night after our visit to Ensay Island was cut short due to bad weather. Having never stayed in a bunk house before we didn't have very high expectations but were so impressed with Am Bothan. We were lucky enough to get a room for 4 to ourselves (2 adults and 2 kids), the bathrooms were...

One of several stopovers on a tour of the Outer Hebrides. The room was comfortable and my mate and I scored with a four bunk room to ourselves. The whole Bunkhouse was friendly and accommodating and our host was friendly and helpful. A good walk took us to the Rodel Hotel for a great meal and drinks. All in all...

I stayed here for one night. I found it very nice. The main room is fantastic, great place to relax and chat to other guests. Room was clean, and toilets and shower rooms are clean also. I would definitely stay here again.

This bunkhouse is a great location just a moment's walk from the harbour or on the bus route from Tarbet (just ask the bus driver to drop you off). It has amazing views and a lovely big friendly living area with great kitchen facilities as well as all the other facilities expected of a hostel. It is in walking distance...

Came here on my cycling tour and ended up staying for 4 nights waiting for the weather to improve for the St Kilda boat. Brilliant week! Host is a gem, knowledgeable about the local area and helpful. Met some amazing people during my stay. Built by the current owner, the hostel was beautiful!

Stayed here for one night whilst cycling the Hebridean Way. The main room is lovely and a great place to sit and chat to other guests. However, the bunk rooms are a little sad and could do with some fresh bedding, duvets, pillows etc (that don't smell of sweat). Admittedly, there was some confusion as a guest had swapped rooms...
